Odoo Functional consultant - Accounts

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Odoo Functional Consultant – Accounts to join our ERP implementation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance with hands-on experience in Odoo ERP. This role involves analyzing business requirements, configuring accounting modules, supporting implementations, and ensuring smooth post-deployment operations for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and analyze client requirements related to financial and accounting operations.
Configure, customize, and implement Odoo Accounting modules (Invoicing, Payments, Journal Entries, Taxes, Bank Reconciliation, etc.).
Map client accounting processes to Odoo’s financial workflows ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Collaborate with technical teams to deliver functional specifications for customizations and integrations.
Conduct system testing, user training, and support during UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
Prepare documentation for configurations, workflows, and end-user manuals.
Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues related to accounting modules.
Stay updated with Odoo version changes, new accounting features, and localization requirements (e.g., GCC VAT, India GST).
Work closely with finance departments to ensure smooth migration from legacy systems to Odoo.
Provide ongoing post-implementation functional support to clients.

Required Skills and Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
(MBA Finance or CA Inter preferred.)
Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant or ERP Functional Consultant.
Strong knowledge of Accounting principles, VAT/GST, Bank Reconciliation, and Financial Reporting.
Hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting, Invoicing, and other ERP modules such as Sales, Purchase, or Inventory.
Ability to create and review functional and technical documentation.
Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with multi-company and multi-currency setups is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of Odoo.sh or Odoo Enterprise.
Familiarity with Middle East accounting practices (if applicable).
Understanding of API integrations with banks or external accounting tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Business Development Manager-ERP

• Understand client requirements and propose suitable ERP solutions (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Conduct product demos and presentations to potential clients.
• Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and contracts.
• Manage and nurture relationships with prospects and existing clients.
• Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams for customized solutions.
• Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
• Maintain CRM with accurate sales pipeline and follow-up records.
• Participate in business development and marketing campaigns.

Requirements:
• 4–5 years of proven experience in ERP software sales.
• Strong understanding of ERP products and business processes.
• Experience selling in the Indian market; local market knowledge is a must.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel for client visits as needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Preferred ERP Exposure:
• Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally Prime, Zoho ERP, or other leading ERP platforms.
