💼 Experience: 5–10+ years in IT Operations / IT Service Management

We’re looking for a decisive and technically credible Incident Commander to take ownership of critical production incidents, drive service restoration, and communicate effectively with customers and senior leadership.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Lead P1/P2 major incidents from declaration through recovery and closure.
• Coordinate infrastructure, cloud, networking, application, security, and vendor teams.
• Drive mitigation, rollback, recovery, and escalation decisions.
• Manage stakeholder communication and incident bridges.
• Maintain incident timelines, action plans, escalation paths, and handovers.
• Lead post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Support Change Control, CAB/ECAB reviews, and operational improvements.

🔹 What You Bring
• 5+ years of relevant experience with substantial major incident ownership.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL, ITSM, Incident, Problem & Change Management.
• Technical understanding of cloud/hosting, Linux/Windows, networking, DNS, databases, web applications, and monitoring.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, BMC Helix, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills under pressure.

🔹 Preferred
• ITIL Foundation certification or higher.
• Experience in managed services, hosting, SaaS, or 24×7 environments.
• Familiarity with observability, incident automation, and SRE practices.

🎯 Experience: 3–5 years in Linux System Administration with hands-on Nutanix exposure

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced L2 Linux System Administrator with basic hands-on Nutanix experience to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise infrastructure. The role focuses on Linux OS operations, performance monitoring, incident resolution, and basic VM administration within a Nutanix virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and manage Enterprise Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux).
• Manage users, LVM volumes, kernel updates, system performance, and OS-level troubleshooting.
• Perform basic Nutanix Prism Element operations including VM provisioning, modification, cloning, power management, and resource monitoring.
• Handle L2 incident escalations within established SLAs and perform RCA for OS-level issues and service disruptions.
• Execute OS patching, software updates, and kernel upgrades following change management processes.
• Monitor and verify backups using Veeam, HYCU, or Commvault and perform file-level/VM snapshot restorations.
• Use Bash, Python, or Ansible to automate administration tasks.
• Apply security hardening standards, manage SSH access, firewalls, SELinux/AppArmor, and remediate OS vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with L3 Engineers and Systems Architects to ensure high availability, security, and operational stability.

Required Skills
• Strong hands-on Linux administration experience with RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Rocky Linux.
• Proficiency in LVM, systemd, SELinux/AppArmor, cron, user/group permissions, and network configuration.
• Basic hands-on experience with Nutanix Prism Element and day-to-day VM administration.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN tagging, network bonding/teaming, SSH, NFS, iSCSI, and firewalls.
• Experience with storage, snapshots, backup integration, and LVM allocation/resizing.
• Working knowledge of Bash scripting, Python basics, or Ansible.

Preferred Certifications
• RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
• Nutanix certifications are an added advantage.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and periodic off-hours maintenance windows.
