What We Are Looking For

Must-Have

• 14–20 years in software engineering, with 5–8 years in engineering leadership managing managers, not just engineers

• Demonstrated experience leading engineering organisations of 25+ people across multiple teams in a B2B SaaS or enterprise product company.

• Strong backend exposure to Java, J2EE with Angular.

• Strong technology/ tech savy with exposure Java development projects and full stack development exposure in a IT product

• Proven track record of building engineering culture not just inheriting a healthy team.

• Active owner of hiring: built pipelines, interviewed at scale, closed strong candidates

• Strong communicator equally credible with engineers and business stakeholders

Strongly Preferred

• Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, ERP, or industrial enterprise software domains

• Experience leading an engineering org through a growth or transformation phase

• Prior title of Director of Engineering, VP Engineering, or Head of Engineering at a product company

• Familiarity with modern engineering practices — CI/CD, platform thinking, developer experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Rust.

• Build and manage cloud-native solutions on AWS or GCP.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools and practices.

• Design and implement scalable microservices and distributed systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure software solutions

. • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.

• Work with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka.

Required Skills

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP Solution Architect to drive the design, adoption, and governance of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) solutions. The role focuses on enabling side-by-side extensibility, process automation, and seamless integration across hybrid SAP landscapes.

The ideal candidate will have strong architectural expertise, hands-on BTP experience, and a solid understanding of core SAP business processes. Key Responsibilities • Drive architecture, adoption, and governance of SAP BTP services across projects • Design and implement side-by-side extensions leveraging SAP BTP • Lead integration strategy across SAP and non-SAP systems in hybrid environments • Gather and analyze business requirements, and translate them into scalable technical solutions • Define and document solution architecture, functional and technical specifications • Oversee end-to-end implementation lifecycle – from requirement gathering to development governance • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture guidelines and best practices • Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to ensure clarity and alignment • Drive process automation initiatives using BTP services • Provide architectural guidance and governance to development teams
