The Planning of Second Phase of Infopark started in 2007- 2008 period after successfully implemented the Phase 1 through the participation of Private Investors. Infopark identified the unutilized marshy fields adjacent to the Phase 1 campus lying vacant at Kunnathunadu and Puthencruz villages of Ernakulam district. With the Government approval, Land acquisition activities started in 2008 and the basic land development activities commenced in 2010. Infopark planned the phase 2 campus as a Walk to Work IT township in 160 acres of land on the banks of Kadambra River with a picturesque landscape overlooking the Smart City Project. More supporting facilities planned apart from the IT/ITES Buildings like schools, shopping zones, Game Zones, Hospitality complex, Hospital facilities etc. and designed a masterplan to align the developments in a sustainable way. As per the Masterplan, 8 million sq.ft of built-up area is planned to create employment opportunities for 1 lakh IT professionals.
Infopark started leasing out land to Co-developers from 2011 and Cognizant came in as the First Co-developer to set up a captive campus. Basic infrastructure like roads, water supply and a 220 KV GIS substation etc. became ready by 2012. Infopark successfully partnered with many private infrastructure developers for the Co-development activities inside Phase 2 campus. UST Global, Claysys Technolgies, Trans Asia Cyberpark, Caspian Techparks, Sunya Ek Cyber Park Ltd, Muthoot Group, Pi Data Centres, Padiyath Innovation World are the investors partnered as Co-developers As of 2020, the First IT Building ‘JYOTHIRMAYA’ by Infopark, Cognizant campus first phase, Trans Asia Cyber Park, Sanskara school first phase, Claysys IT Campus first phase are completed. The full development of the campus is expected to be completed by 2030. Infopark Phase 2 will also be connected with the Water metro Project in the near future.

Jyothirmaya 1
JYOTHIRMAYA is the first IT Building developed by Infopark in the Phase 2 Campus. The Building is a waterfront property located on the banks of Kadambra river. Constructed in 6.80 acres of land inside the Special Economic Zone notified area with a super built-up area of 4 lakhs sq.ft in G+9 Floors.

Cognizant’s 15.43-acre Naveda campus in the second phase of Kochi’s famous Infopark highlights the Nasdaq-listed professional services company’s long association with Kerala that began in 2007.

The campus is home to the Company’s tallest building in India. When fully complete, the state- of-the-art building will have the capacity to accommodate 4,000 professionals addressing the digital transformation needs of Cognizant’s global customers. The campus is rich with employee-centric features: a fully equipped, 1,200 sq.ft. health center with doctors, nurses and telemedicine facility, an exclusive Mother’s lounge and women wards, a gymnasium with in-house trainers and a jogging track, and dedicated sleep pods for employees to nap and recharge themselves.

It also has an open-air theater surrounded by lush green lawns, medicinal plants and regional fruit-bearing flora. Next to it are a football ground and a volleyball court that routinely come alive with employee tournaments. Not far from there is a seven-a-side football ground and nets for the Company’s cricket aficionados. Employees can also treat themselves to table tennis, foosball and carrom.

The high point of the campus is a natural stream that forms an active kayaking spot for the employees. Equally eye-catching is the Company’s own “Chaya Kada” that showcases amazing artwork by employees and reminds one of a typical countryside teashop. The building has earned OHSAS 18001, ISO 1400, ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and Gold-rated LEED certifications. The campus also has a 130 sq.ft. smart farm enabled by digital technology. An organic waste convertor on the campus turns food waste into organic manure for in-house farming. A 190 KLD treatment plant facilitates 100% reutilization of wastewater within the facility for landscaping and irrigation. Naveda also has a 10 KW solar power plant and a 2450 KL rainwater-harvesting tank.

Claysys IT Campus

CLAYSYS TECHNOLOGIES, a company started operations from Infopark in 2011 has leased 1.60 acres of land for setting up their own campus. The first phase of the campus with 50,000 sq.ft is ready and operational since January 2020. Around 200 IT professionals working here. Apart from office spaces, they have created more entertainment zones in the building including indoor football court, Multi-GYM, Food Courts etc.

UST Global

UST has leased 8.78 acres of land at Infopark Phase 2 for setting up their second own campus in Kerala after Trivandrum Technopark. Construction will start soon.

Sanskara School

Infopark Phase 2 is designed as a Walk to Work IT Township to ensure a perfect work life balance for the IT professionals working here. Many facilities are planned to benefit the working community inside the campus. Muthoot Group has partnered with Infopark for developing a CBSE School with classes from KG to 12th. The first phase of the school campus got operational since 2016 academic year. The second phase construction in progress and the school will be fully ready by 2021.

Electrical System in Infopark Phase-2

The power requirement of 125 acres of Infopark Kochi Phase 2 campus is met from 220/33/11KV substation owned and operated by the power licensee, M/s Infoparks Kerala. The capacity of substation is 62 MVA. This 220KV substation is fed through 220KV UG cables from 220KV substation of Kerala State Electricity Board.

The distribution system in 125 acres campus is through underground cable at 33KV and 11KV. The cables are laid through built-in concrete cable trenches. ‘Jyothirmaya’ IT building is fed from Infopark 220/33/11KV substation through dedicated feeder. Further, in Jyothirmaya building, Infopark provided 100% power back up using DG sets of adequate capacity.

Infopark also provided auto change over system in every building to minimize the changeover period. Since there is dedicated feeder to substation, dedicated feeder to each building, 100% DG back up and auto changeover are provided, the down time is very less. The dedicated feeder from KSEB 220KV substation as well as dedicated feeder to each building from Infopark 220/33/11KV substation itself is highly reliable and power interruption of the main power is also very less.


Cyberdome by Kerala Police for tracking and preventing the Cyber related crimes in the Kochi City is located at Infopark Kochi Phase 2. This is purely a technology driven initiative.

It envisages as a high tech public-private partnership Centre of collaboration for different stakeholders in the domain of cyber security and handling of cybercrimes, in a proactive manner. One of the main objectives of the Cyber dome is to prevent cybercrimes through the development of a cyber threat resilient ecosystem in the state to defend against the growing threat of cyberattacks by synergizing with other departments and nodal agencies of the State. Cyber dome makes a collective coordination among the Government departments and agencies, academia, research groups, non-profitable organizations, individual experts from the community, ethical hackers, private organizations, and other law enforcement agencies in the country, with an aim of providing a safe and secure cyber world for each and every citizen in the state.
