Full Stack Tech Lead

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Tech Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Node.js, React.js, Next.js, and Sanity CMS, along with proven leadership experience managing development teams. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, architectural decision-making, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
● Lead, mentor, and manage a team of frontend and backend developers.
● Allocate tasks, monitor project progress, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
● Conduct regular code reviews and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development guidelines.
● Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
● Participate in technical architecture discussions and technology selection. Full Stack Development
● Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Node.js, React.js, and Next.js.
● Build, maintain, and optimise RESTful APIs and backend services.
● Develop and integrate microservices and third-party APIs.
● Build responsive, high-performance, and user-friendly web applications.
● Implement reusable and maintainable frontend and backend components.

CMS Development
● Develop and maintain content-driven applications using Sanity CMS.
● Design and manage content models and schemas.
● Integrate Sanity CMS with frontend applications.
● Collaborate with content teams to improve content workflows.

Authentication & Security
● Design, implement, and manage secure authentication and authorisation workflows using AWS Cognito, including:
○ User Pools
○ Identity Pools
○ JWT token management
○ Role-based access control (RBAC)
○ Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
○ Social identity provider integrations (Google, Apple, Facebook, etc.)
● Implement security best practices for authentication and API access.
● Ensure applications comply with security and data protection standards.

Performance & Scalability
● Optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability.
● Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
● Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
● Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.

Collaboration
● Work closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders.
● Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
● Maintain technical documentation, architecture documents, and development standards.

Required Skills

● Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, and IAM is an advantage

● Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
● Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
