Accounts Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant with 5+ years in accounting to handle financial operations, payment coordination, and reporting for both in-house and business activities. Reporting directly to the UK-based Accounts Manager, this role requires strong coordination with operations teams, payment chasing, and support for overall team efficiency in a fast-paced travel operations environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance for in-house and business operations.
2. Coordinate with operations teams to process vendor/supplier payments, client receivables, and ensure timely financial transactions.
3. Chase outstanding payments from clients and partners through emails, calls, and follow-ups to maintain healthy cash flow.
4. Prepare financial reports, MIS, payment summaries, and reconciliations for review by the UK Accounts Manager.
5. Support the accounts team with month-end closings, GST/VAT compliance, TDS deductions, and audit preparations.
6. Maintain accurate records in accounting software and ensure compliance with Indian GAAP and international standards.
7. Assist operations with cost tracking, budget monitoring, and financial queries related to travel bookings and services.
8. Handle petty cash, expense claims, and bank reconciliations efficiently.

Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Education: B.Com / M.Com or equivalent; CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum 5+ years in accounts payable/receivable, preferably in travel/hospitality/BPO sectors.
3. Skills: Strong knowledge of Tally, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software; expertise in GST, TDS, and forex transactions; excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Technical: Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), Google Sheets; familiarity with international payments (wire transfers, PayPal).
5. Communication: Fluent English (written/spoken) for UK coordination; ability to handle client/vendor escalations professionally.
6. Work Schedule: Willing to work UK shifts (evening/night IST) and 6 days a week.

We provide end‑to‑end backend operations support to Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and travel partners, handling reservations, customer service, data management, and other back‑office processes so our partners can focus on delivering exceptional client experiences.

Located at Lulu Cyber Tower 1, Infopark, Kakkanad, Kochi, we combine skilled teams, modern infrastructure, and deep industry expertise to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost‑effective travel operations support across domestic and international markets, with a strong focus on premium and luxury travel segments.

Responsibilities:
Handle inbound and outbound inquiries via phone, email, and WhatsApp regarding travel packages and services.
Assist clients in planning and booking flights, hotels, tours, and other travel products as per their budget and requirements.
Prepare and present customised travel itineraries and quotations, highlighting value and benefits to convert leads into bookings.
Achieve monthly sales and reservation targets while maintaining high service standards.
Manage reservations, modifications, cancellations, and refunds accurately in the booking system and CRM.
Coordinate with operations and accounts teams to ensure smooth end-to-end service delivery.
Maintain updated knowledge of destinations, fares, offers, and company policies to advise clients confidently.
Record all customer interactions, follow-ups, and bookings in the system and generate basic reports as required.


Requirements and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Travel & Tourism / Hospitality /Commerce preferred).
Experience: Freshers are welcome; prior experience in travel, hospitality, or sales is an added advantage.
Skills: Strong spoken and written English, Good communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort with online booking tools.
Ability to work in UK shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.
