Database Administrator-Postgres

We are looking for a PostgreSQL Database Administrator with 1–3 years of experience in managing and
maintaining PostgreSQL databases in a production environment.

Responsibilities:
· Perform day-to-day administration and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases.
· Monitor database performance, availability, and health.
· Manage database backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures.
· Perform user management, security administration, and access control.
· Monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues.
· Execute routine maintenance activities such as VACUUM, ANALYZE, and index management.
· Support database deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
· Ensure database integrity, reliability, and optimal performance.

Required work experience:
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL architecture and database fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration in a production environment.
• Good knowledge of backup and recovery procedures.
• Understanding of database security, roles, and privileges.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring and query optimization.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of high availability and replication concepts.

Must have technical skills:
• Strong fundamentals in database administration concepts.
• Good knowledge of backup and recovery procedures.
• Understanding of database security, roles, and privileges.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
