Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer (Generative AI & Deployment) to design, develop, and deploy production-grade Generative AI systems. This role requires deep technical expertise and independent ownership of AI model lifecycle, from research and experimentation through to scalable deployment—supporting and collaborating closely with the Lead AI Engineer and cross-functional teams.

Ideal Background

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field.
• 5–8 years of AI/ML engineering experience with proven expertise in end-to-end AI model development and deployment.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python (mandatory).
• Hands-on experience with Vector Databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) — mandatory.
• Solid knowledge of Relational Databases (RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server) — mandatory.
• Proficiency in frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers.
• Hands-on experience with fine-tuning and deploying LLMs, transformer architectures, and generative AI models.
• Working knowledge of MLOps (CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, deployment pipelines, and scaling).
• Cloud deployment experience across AWS / GCP / Azure.
• Ability to work independently on complex AI features and communicate technical concepts clearly to product and engineering stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Develop Generative AI Models: Independently design and optimise LLMs, RAG pipelines, and transformer-based solutions aligned to product requirements.
• Mandatory Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge in Vector DBs, Python, and RDBMS to build efficient, scalable AI-driven data systems.
• Model Fine-Tuning & Evaluation: Fine-tune pre-trained models, run experiments, evaluate performance, and iterate to production quality.
• Deployment & Scaling: Implement MLOps best practices to ensure reliable, monitored, and production-ready AI systems.
• RAG & Agentic Pipelines: Build and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation and agentic AI workflows for enterprise SaaS products.
• Performance Optimisation: Continuously improve AI model efficiency, reduce inference latency, and scale systems for real-world usage.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and data scientists to integrate AI capabilities into SaaS products.
• Research & Prototyping: Stay current with the latest AI/ML research and rapidly prototype solutions to validate new ideas.
• Code Quality & Documentation: Write clean, well-tested, and documented AI code; participate in peer code reviews.

Preferred / Good to Have Skills

• Experience with WebSocket-based AI communication pipelines and real-time inference.
• Exposure to Chatbots, CRM, ERP, Accounting, and HRTech systems.
• Familiarity with Responsible AI, AI governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration frameworks for LLM applications.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, few-shot learning, and instruction tuning.
• Exposure to multi-modal AI models (vision, audio, or document understanding).
• Familiarity with Material UI, multi-theme applications, and UX for AI-driven products.
