Data Engineer

Skill Sets:
-Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) – pipelines, data flows, triggers, and monitoring.
-Advanced expertise in SQL / T-SQL, including performance tuning, indexing, and stored procedures.
-Solid understanding of data modelling (3NF and star/snowflake schemas).
-Experience with Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, or Data Lake architectures.
-Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, incremental loading, and transformation strategies.
-Experience with ETL tools like SSIS, Informatica, Talend, or dbt.
-Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and large-scale data processing.
-Understanding of performance optimization (indexing, partitioning, query tuning).
-Experience in data governance, quality checks, and data lineage.
-Ability to integrate data from APIs and handle JSON/XML formats.
-Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
-Exposure to Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD is a plus.
-Strong communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:
-Act as a technical lead, defining best practices for data pipelines, modelling, and quality.
-Design and maintain scalable ADF pipelines and data integration solutions.
-Build robust ingestion frameworks for structured and semi-structured data.
-Develop and maintain normalized and dimensional data models.
-Implement transformations using SQL, T-SQL, and data flows.
-Optimize pipelines and queries for performance, scalability, and reliability.
-Implement indexing, partitioning, monitoring, and error handling mechanisms.
-Collaborate with backend (.NET) and frontend teams for data access and integration.
-Deliver analytics-ready datasets for reporting and APIs.
-Conduct code reviews, enforce standards, and mentor team members.
-Work closely with stakeholders and support CI/CD and continuous improvements.
