YOUR ROLE
We are looking for a Flowable Engineer to join our Flowable Center of Excellence (CoE) in India, part of our growing APAC setup.
This role plays a key part in building and scaling our Flowable capabilities across Asia, working closely with our teams in Singapore and Europe.



About the Setup

• You will be part of a newly established Flowable Center of Excellence in India
• Working in close collaboration with our Singapore hub and European teams
• Building a scalable, high-impact delivery capability for APAC clients
• Opportunity to shape structures, standards, and ways of working from the ground up

What You Will Do



• Design and implement Flowable processes, cases, decision tables, forms, and apps using BPMN 2.0, CMMN 1.1, and DMN 1.3
• Develop and integrate Flowable REST APIs, service tasks, event listeners, and message-driven flows
• Write clean, readable, testable, and maintainable code following clean code principles for Flowable-related services and extensions
• Work with SQL and relational databases as backends for Flowable-based solutions
• Integrate Flowable with external systems via RESTful APIs, handling JSON/XML data formats
• Contribute to version control workflows using Git for collaborative Flowable development
• Analyze existing processes and data models, identify optimization potential, and implement improvements
• Present and explain Flowable concepts and solutions to both business and IT stakeholders

Role Levels

Mid-Level Engineer | 2–5 Years Experience

Focus: Hands-on development and configuration of Flowable solutions under senior guidance; growing into independent delivery

Experience 2–5 years in BPM / workflow / process automation, with direct Flowable project exposure

Senior Engineer | 5+ Years Experience

Focus: Lead delivery of complex Flowable projects end-to-end; mentor junior and mid-level engineers; interface directly with client stakeholders

Experience 5+ years in BPM / workflow / process automation with proven hands-on Flowable project experience









YOUR PROFILE
Required Skills & Experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, or related field — or equivalent apprenticeship / vocational training in IT
• Strong knowledge of modelling with BPMN 2.0, CMMN 1.1, and DMN 1.3 in the Flowable Modeler / Design environment
• Hands-on experience with Flowable processes, cases, decision tables, forms, and apps
• Practical experience with Flowable REST APIs and integration patterns (service tasks, event listeners, message-driven flows)
• Solid SQL and relational database skills, including use as backends for Flowable-based solutions
• Experience with Git for version control in collaborative development environments
• Proficiency in JavaScript and its ecosystem, particularly for Flowable forms and UI integrations
• Proficiency with web services and RESTful APIs; confident handling of JSON/XML in Flowable service tasks
• Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate and improve processes and data models on Flowable



Nice to Have
• Java and Spring Boot experience for developing Flowable extensions, delegates, and microservices
• Frontend development skills — especially React or similar — for building custom UIs integrated via REST APIs
• Familiarity with AI agents and orchestration concepts using Flowable as a process and decision engine
