Junior Accountant

Position: Junior Accountant
Location: Phases, Infopark, Kochi
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the finance department in daily operations, including bookkeeping, data entry, and financial record maintenance.
Process and manage balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements in adherence to accounting guidelines.
Review and verify expenses, payroll records, and ensure timely and accurate statutory filings such as GST, TDS etc.
Support the preparation of monthly and yearly financial closings and reports.
Liaise with banks, government offices, and statutory bodies to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance.
Handle sensitive and confidential financial information with utmost honesty and integrity.
Provide assistance with audits, financial analysis, and other ad hoc finance-related tasks.

Requirements:
Energetic, proactive, and self-motivated with a hands-on approach.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Working knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, lookup functions and pivot tables).
Working knowledge of GST and TDS including return filing, reconciliation and compliance procedures.
Hands on experience with accounting software (Tally/Zoho/QuickBooks/Odoo preferred).
Experience in audit support, including preparation of schedules and coordination with auditors.
A valid two-wheeler and four-wheeler driving license.
Ownership of a two-wheeler for travel to government offices, banks, and other locations as required.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
0-3 years of experience with strong foundational knowledge.
