Position: Senior Database / SQL Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database / SQL Developer with strong technical expertise in SQL and database systems. The role requires deep understanding of business processes, hands-on database development, and close collaboration with US-based stakeholders and internal application teams to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions.

Key Responsibilities;

• Analyze and understand business processes and functional requirements
• Work closely with US stakeholders to gather requirements and propose optimal technical solutions
• Design and maintain database schemas, objects, and relationships
• Develop, optimize, and tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
• Perform query optimization and performance tuning for large datasets
• Prepare and execute test cases and support UAT activities
• Collaborate with application development teams for integration and deployment
• Ensure data integrity, security, and consistency across systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development and production environments
Required Technical Skills;
• Strong expertise in SQL (advanced queries, joins, subqueries, indexing)
• Hands-on experience in database design and normalization
• Experience with stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization
• Experience with indexing strategies and execution plans
• Hands-on experience with MS-SQL Server
• Knowledge of ETL concepts and data migration
• Familiarity with data modeling tools and ER diagrams
• Experience in version control systems (Git or similar)
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies

Soft Skills & Other Requirements;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team
• Experience working with US-based clients or stakeholders
• Knowledge in Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL

Education;

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
