What’s important to us:
We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with a solid background in software testing and at least 4 years of hands-on automation experience. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in test automation frameworks, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive, positive attitude. Leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.
Execute automated and manual tests to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Perform root cause analysis on failed tests and report defects with detailed logs and evidence.
Continuously enhance automation coverage and improve test efficiency.
Contribute to test strategy, planning, and estimation activities.
Mentor junior team members and share best practices for automation and testing processes.
Must Have Skills:
Minimum 6 years of experience in software testing (manual + automation).
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with any of the popular automation tools such as:
Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, Postman, RestAssured, Robot Framework, or Katalon Studio.
Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitHub, and Test Management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Azure Test Plans).
Good exposure to API testing and automation.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Demonstrated proactiveness, ownership, and a positive attitude.
Experience in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
Knowledge of cloud-based testing (AWS, Azure, or Docker-based environments) is desirable.
Qualification Required:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
