What's Important To Us

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with a specialization in databases to design, optimize, and maintain scalable data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in building robust ETL/ELT pipelines, architecting future-proof database schemas, and ensuring data accuracy across large-scale environments. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to design and maintain robust data infrastructure that supports analytics, AI/ML workflows, and enterprise reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities

*Database Architecture & Optimization

Design normalized, denormalized, and dimensional schemas (Star/Snowflake) tailored for analytics and AI workloads.
Implement indexing, partitioning, and query optimization strategies for high-performance databases.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability through validation and monitoring.

*Data Engineering & ETL/ELT

Build and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines across on-premise and cloud environments.
Develop ingestion and transformation workflows using Airflow, AWS Glue, or Azure Data Factory.
Apply best practices for incremental loading, CDC, and error handling.
Provide guidance on data segregation, feature engineering, and performance optimization.
Deliver clean, reliable, and well-structured datasets for AI pipelines.

*Cloud & Infrastructure

Architect and operate data storage and streaming solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Automate infrastructure provisioning.
Integrate CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure deployment.

*Governance & Compliance

Implement data lineage, metadata management, and governance frameworks.
Enforce data security policies and compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and other standards.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience: 4+ years as a Data Engineer with strong database specialization.
SQL Expertise: Advanced proficiency in complex queries, joins, window functions, and performance tuning.
Databases: Deep experience with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, PostgreSQL, SQL Server.
Programming: Strong skills in Python and PySpark for data manipulation and pipeline orchestration.
Data Frameworks: Expertise in Apache Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Flink.
ETL Tools: Hands-on with Airflow, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory.
Data Modeling: Proven ability to design scalable schemas for analytics and AI.
Cloud Platforms: Practical experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data services.
Pipeline Optimization: Skilled in tuning pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Security & Compliance: Experience with IAM, encryption, and regulatory frameworks.

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Exposure to data cataloging and governance tools.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus).
Knowledge of data APIs and microservices.
Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience supporting ML pipelines and analytics workflows.
