QA Lead (5–7 years’ experience, 2+ years in Lead Role)

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to oversee the entire quality assurance lifecycle, manage a team of QA engineers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual and automation testing, test strategy planning, quality processes, and team leadership.

Location: Infopark, Kochi

Work Mode: Work From Office (Mandatory)

Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the QA team by providing guidance, technical expertise, and domain knowledge to ensure timely completion of testing activities.
Review business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to ensure complete test coverage across all features.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, user flow diagrams, and coverage reports.
Plan and execute regression testing for each release, delegate tasks to junior QA members, and collaborate closely with the development team to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
Perform functional testing, database validation, and log analysis to ensure stability and reliability of the web application (Spring MVC) and Spring Boot–based API services.
Manage test environments, test data, and automation scripts; evaluate and recommend suitable automation frameworks, tools, and technologies to enhance testing efficiency.
Ensure adherence to QA processes, best practices, and documentation standards aligned with the SDLC.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including development, project management, business teams, and clients to resolve issues and support smooth release cycles.
Identify root causes of recurring issues, implement corrective actions, and continuously monitor the application to prevent recurring defects.
Explore and propose new automation tools, ideas, and methodologies to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5–7 years of experience in QA with minimum 2+ years in a lead or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of manual and automation testing methodologies.
Hands-on experience with API testing tools and performance testing tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
ISTQB or similar certification is an added advantage.
