Infopark campus at Kochi is developed in to two phases. In 2004, Government of Kerala has transferred 100 acres of land belongs to KINFRA for setting up an IT park in the Business capital of the State to Infopark Kerala. A building which was designed as a Standard Design Factory (SDF) by KINFRA was existing in the land and the remaining land was vacant. Infopark started operations by renovating the SDF building to suit the operations of IT/ITES Companies. Few companies have started operations from the building along with the Project office of Infopark. Infopark in 2005 initiated the construction of the first IT building of its own named ‘Vismaya’ got completed in 2007. Both Thapasya and Vismaya were built as Multi-Tenanted Facility. Infopark also notified around 80 acres of land as Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
Since the beginning of the campus, Infopark went on to a Co-development model by attracting Private Infrastcrture players to invest in the infrastrtcure development of IT buildings by leasing land on a long term lease. IT MNCs were also given opportunity to set up their own campuses. Infopark Phase 1 has now investments rom big infrastructure players like Lulu Group, Brigade Group and Carnival Group in the IT building development space and IT MNC’s like TCS, WIPRO and IBS owns their own captive campuses. Infopark in 2010 completed one more IT Building named ‘ATHULYA’ from own funds. Now the phase 1 campus is fully developed with over 7 million sq.ft of Built-up area.

Own Projects

Infopark campus is divided into Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and non – SEZ facilities. The infrastructure development of the campus is done through a Co-development model with the participation of Private investors. Apart from the Privately owned buildings, Infopark also developed IT Buildings in all our campuses with grant in aid from the Government or through own sources of fund. At Infopark Kochi Phase 1 campus, we have developed 3 Building blocks for the IT/ITES Companies to set up their businesses. Infopark owned Buildings inside the Phase 1 includes Thapasya (Non SEZ), Vismaya (Non SEZ) and Athulya (SEZ). All these buildings are offered as Multi-tenanted facility (MTF) with Plug and play and warm shell space formats available for leasing.

Thapasya MTF (Non SEZ)

The Building structure constructed by KINFRA as a Standard Design Factory (SDF) Building has been transferred along with the land for setting up of Infopark in 2004. The complete renovation of the structure to suit the IT business operations has been done by Infopark and renamed it as ‘Thapasya’. Located in the Non SEZ area of the campus, the building offers plug and play layouts ranging from 500 sq.ft up to 12,500 sq.ft and warm shell options from 2500 sq.ft. Leasing for the entire building is completed and more than 30 Small Medium IT/ITES Companies functioning in the Building.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) had leased 15.72 acres of land at Infopark Kochi Phase 1 for setting up their own campus in 2007. The campus construction got completed in 2014 with 1.3 million sq.ft built-up area now employed over 10,000 IT professionals. TCS is presently the largest employer at Infopark Kochi campus with big plans for further expansions in Kochi. Apart from the Work spaces in multiple blocks, TCS campus has all the facilities for its employees includes Guest House, Auditorium, Food Courts, Training Halls, Amphi Theater, Multi - Level Car parking etc.


Wipro Limited was one of the first entrant to Kochi Infopark for setting up their own IT Campus. They have signed an agreement in 2005 with Infopark for leasing 25.18 acres for setting up their exclusive campus. Completed the campus development by 2008 with a super built-up area of 1 million sq.ft. The campus now employs over 4000 IT professionals.


IBS Software Services, a leading global provider of next generation IT solutions to the Travel, Transportation & Logistics industries is a home grown company from the State of Kerala. IBS has leased 4.21 acres of land with Infopark at its phase 1 and stetted up their exclusive campus.

Apart from the one in Technopark, Trivandrum, the second dedicated campus of IBS Software, a leading SaaS provided to the global travel industry is on the verge of completion at Infopark Cochin. The campus will have a built-up area of 6 lakh square feet in 4.21 acres of land to house 3000 employees. It will be built as a green office space including state-of-the-art IT facilities, basement parking, auditorium, open roof cafeteria, a theatre & recreation facilities.

Infopark Phase 1 campus at Kochi has a kid’s day care centre/Creche cum play school facility available. The centre with a Built-up area of 7000 sq.ft with all the facilities started in 2013 can accommodate up to 160 kids. Sydney Montessori Schools is managing this facility for Infopark. They have over 16 years of experience in running Montessori schools, 17 centres across 6 districts in Kerala. Working professionals can make use of this facility inside the campus. SERVICES

In Sydney Schools the day begins with assembly for all the Classes at 9:15am. Assembly is led by the students. The Assembly includes Prayer, Pledge, Thought for the week and reading of important news of the day. Exercise, Yoga and Meditation sessions have also been incorporated in the morning assemblies.
The Classes are scheduled from 9:50am to 12:45pm. Apart from curriculum-based and examination oriented teaching, the academic work includes project – based learning by the students, file works, craft works and field trips. Important days are also taught to students. Every day a 40min Conversation class is there to develop the communication skills.

Cyber Police Station @ Infopark

Infopark has a Police Station facility inside. It is the Kochi’s first Cyber Police Station for the Central Kerala. A land extend of 49 cents has been transferred by Infopark to set up a Police station inside the campus. Located in the centre point of Infopark Kochi Phase 1 campus, opposite to Sheraton hotel this police station is handling the law and order in the limits of Phase 1 and Phase 2 campuses.
Infopark Police station has more than 50 police personnel in various ranks.

Unlike any other police stations, Infopark Police station has a full-fledged Cyber cell with IT experts from the Police team working 24*7 to track the cyber related crimes in the city. A separate women and Child cell for an extra layer protection of the ladies.

24*7 Security by State Industrial Security Force (SISF)

Infopark Kochi campus is guarded by the State Industrial Security Force, Industrial security wing of the Kerala Police. SISF Guards are posted in all the entry gates and periphery of the campus. Govt.owned buildings are also guarded by SISF personnel. Total of 56 guards and 2 Sub Inspector rank officers are posted for Infopark Kochi Phase 1 and Phase 2 campuses.

Stable and Quality Power

Stable power is the most critical requirement for any technology industry. Kerala, the state blessed with ample monsoon rainfall every year having more hydroelectric power sources. This enables the industries to run on uninterrupted power throughout the year.

Infopark ensures stable and quality power in all its campuses. Phase 1 of the campus has a well-equipped system for uninterrupted power from multiple sources.

Electrical System in Infopark Phase-1, Kochi
The power requirement of 100 acres of campus is met from 110/11KV substation owned and operated by the power licensee M/s KINESCO. The capacity of substation is 45 MVA. This 110KV substation is fed through 2Nos dedicated 110KV feeder from 220/110KV substation of Kerala State Electricity Board, Brahmapuram. This KSEB Substation is connected to multiple generating stations of the State as well as to 400 KV circuit of Power grid Corporation.

The distribution system in 100 acres campus is through underground cable at 11KV. The cables are laid in built-in concrete cable trenches. All the buildings (Thapasya/Vismaya/Athulya) are fed from ring main units (ring feeders of KINESCO). Further, in all these buildings Infopark provided 100% power back up using DG sets of adequate capacity. Co-developer buildings has multiple dedicated feeders directly from KINESCO substation.
In all buildings sufficient capacity of transformers and DG sets are provided. Details of the power systems in Govt. owned buildings as shown below.

Infopark also provided auto change over system for DG in every building to minimise the changeover period. Since there are two feeders to substation, ring feeders to each building, 100% DG back up and auto changeover are provided, the down time is very less. The dedicated feeder from KSEB substation as well as the ring feeder system itself is highly reliable and power interruption of the main power is also very less.
