Job Title: Student Counsellor
Location: Kochi, Kerala

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Student Counsellor to join our team. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with both outbound and inbound calling, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for guiding students toward the right career and training opportunities. The role requires a target-oriented approach, regular follow-ups, and the ability to convert enquiries into admissions through effective counselling.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Counselling & Admissions

* Counsel prospective students and parents regarding courses, training programs, and career opportunities.
* Understand student requirements and recommend suitable courses based on their interests and career goals.
* Guide students through the admission process and address their queries effectively.

2. Lead Management & Follow-up

* Make outbound calls to prospective students and handle inbound enquiry calls.
* Follow up on leads through phone calls, emails, WhatsApp messages, and other communication channels.
* Maintain consistent communication with prospects to improve conversion rates.

3. Enrollment Conversion

* Convert enquiries into admissions through effective counselling and relationship building.
* Achieve monthly admission and counselling targets.
* Develop strategies to improve lead conversion and student engagement.

4. Database & Record Management

* Maintain accurate records of student interactions, enquiries, follow-ups, and admissions.
* Update CRM systems and databases regularly with relevant information.
* Prepare reports on counselling activities, admissions, and lead status.

5. Communication & Relationship Building

* Build strong rapport with students and parents.
* Provide excellent customer service throughout the counselling and admission process.
* Represent the organization professionally during all student interactions.

Qualifications & Skills

* Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
* Prior experience as a Student Counsellor, Academic Counsellor, Admission Counsellor, or Telecaller preferred.
* Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent convincing and negotiation abilities.
* Comfortable with calling, follow-ups, and target-based work.
* Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools is an advantage.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Candidate

* Experience in educational counselling, admissions, or student recruitment.
* Proven ability to achieve admission and enrollment targets.
* Strong relationship-building and customer-handling skills.
* Positive attitude, self-motivated, and result-oriented approach.
