Software Engineer - Card Payment Systems and Card Management Platforms

We are looking for a Software Engineer with mandatory experience in Card Payment Systems and Card Management Platforms.
This position is intended for professionals who have previously worked in banks, payment processors, fintech companies, card processors or organisations developing/supporting Card Management Systems.
Candidates who possess only Java/.NET development experience without exposure to Payment Cards or Card Management Systems are unlikely to be a fit for this role.

The ideal candidate should have strong functional understanding of Card Payment Systems along with hands-on experience in Java/.Net, Spring Boot, Oracle PL/SQL, Linux and AWS.

Mandatory Experience
Applicants must have:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Payment Cards / Banking / Card Processing domain
• Experience with TSYS PRIME (preferred) or any enterprise Card Management System
• Strong understanding of Card Issuing, Authorization, Clearing, Settlement and Reconciliation
• Experience working on Card Management applications
• Good knowledge of payment processing flows


Applications without Card Management System experience will not be considered.


Location: Initially Remote (India) & then onsite (Europe)

Responsibilities:
• Develop/configure/support, end-to-end card managements system tasks (issuing, acquiring, settlement, reconciliation, EMV and other regulatory compliances)
• Perform Java or .Net development within a microservices architecture: back-end code (business model code, data access, flows), unit test code, test scripts
• Working knowledge of Oracle PL/Sql
• Apply design, coding and documentation standards and write technical documentation
• Diagnose and issues Troubleshoot transaction issues and solve merchant enquires in a timely fashion.
• Supervise the merchant settlement process both in terminal capture and host capture environment.
• ACH/EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) and Credit Card Payment Processing

Skills / Experience:
• Good functional knowledge of Payments Processing Industry , card applications, merchant management and support processes.
• 3+ years of experience of functional and technical aspects of Tsys Prime/Online platforms.
• Excellent understanding of Cards and payments technologies.
• PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) Requirements and Certification process
• Hands on experience with Java, Spring boot, Oralce and Linux/Unix/Windows.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in global financial transactions as well as customer service on a global scale and payment gateways, acquirers, processors, and associations .
• Work as part of a development team/Production management team team in a fast-moving environment
