AI Search & Prompt Engineering Specialist (Local SEO & GEO)

We are seeking an innovative AI Search & Prompt Engineer with a strong background in SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). In this role, you will lead the strategy and execution to ensure our local business clients are prominently featured, recommended, and cited across major AI discovery platforms—including ChatGPT, SearchGPT, Perplexity, Google Gemini, and Claude.

Key Responsibilities
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): Develop and implement strategies to optimize local client presence across AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Apple Intelligence).

Prompt Engineering & Testing: Design, benchmark, and optimize prompts to evaluate how AI models process, rank, and retrieve local business information.

Knowledge Graph & Entity Building: Structure client brand data, schema markup (JSON-LD), local citations, and unstructured web content so AI agents can parse and index them accurately.

Content Strategy for AI: Creation of conversational, authority-building, and entity-dense content tailored for AI crawling and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.

Local SEO Management: Maintain core local search foundations, including Google Business Profiles, local citation networks, review management, and local backlink acquisition.

AI Visibility Audits: Track client brand sentiment, citation accuracy, and recommendation rates inside conversational AI interfaces; build reporting frameworks for client visibility.

Qualifications & Skills
Prompt Engineering: Proven experience crafting, testing, and refining prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) to analyze data or emulate user search behavior.

SEO Expertise: 2+ years of experience in technical SEO, local search optimization, structured data (Schema.org), and entity-based search.

AI Search Technicals: Fundamental understanding of how RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), vector databases, and knowledge graphs feed information into LLMs.

Tools Proficiency: Experience with SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog), schema generators, and AI interfaces/APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity).

Analytical Skills: Ability to audit conversational AI outputs, track unstructured brand mentions, and turn insights into actionable optimization steps.

Nice-to-Haves
Basic coding knowledge (Python or JavaScript) for querying APIs or automating prompt testing workflows.

Hands-on experience with local review management and reputation platforms (e.g., BrightLocal, Yext, Podia).

Familiarity with dynamic content syndication and digital PR strategies that generate conversational citations.
