Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Software Developer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc., or equivalent) and 3-4 years of hands-on, professional experience in C#, MySQL, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and Angular. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of web application development, database management, and modern application architecture, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a development team.

The selected candidate will join a team of experienced engineers and developers, working under the guidance of an Engineering Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to convert and modernize a legacy VoIP application built on ASP.NET into a scalable solution using .NET Core and Angular. This involves analyzing the existing system, redesigning components where necessary, ensuring smooth and accurate data migration, and maintaining high standards of performance, security, and code quality throughout the transition.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze the existing legacy ASP.NET VoIP application to understand current functionality, architecture, and dependencies.
• Design and develop a modernized, scalable version of the application using .NET Core and Angular.
• Redesign and refactor components as needed to align with modern application architecture and best practices.
• Plan and execute smooth, accurate data migration from the legacy system to the new platform with minimal disruption.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and participate in code reviews with peers and senior engineers.
• Design, optimize, and manage MySQL database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
• Ensure application performance, security, scalability, and reliability throughout development and after deployment.
• Collaborate closely with fellow developers, QA, and the Engineering Manager to plan sprints, estimate work, and meet project timelines.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the application stack, including production support as needed.
• Stay current with evolving .NET Core, Angular, and related technologies, and recommend improvements where relevant.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc., or equivalent).
• 3-4 years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.
• Proficiency in Angular for front-end development.
• Strong working knowledge of MySQL, including schema design, query optimization, and data management.
• Solid understanding of modern application architecture, design patterns, and web application development principles.
• Experience with, or strong understanding of, legacy system modernization and data migration is a plus.
• Familiarity with VoIP applications or telecommunications systems is an advantage, though not mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
Team & Reporting Structure
The candidate will work as part of a team of experienced engineers and developers, reporting to an Engineering Manager who will provide technical direction, mentorship, and project oversight.
