Sr. Contract Drafting Legal Analyst

About the Role
UNILAW is looking for an experienced Senior Contract Drafting Legal Analyst to join our Legal Services team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating intellectual property and commercial agreements, ensuring legal compliance while supporting global business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and manage a broad range of commercial and intellectual property agreements.
Prepare and negotiate standard IP agreements, including:
Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) / Confidentiality Agreements
Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs)
Research Agreements
Testing Services Agreements
Consulting Services Agreements
Licensing Agreements
Technology Transfer Agreements
Review contractual terms to identify legal, commercial, and operational risks.
Ensure agreements comply with applicable laws, internal policies, and client requirements.
Work closely with business, research, and technical teams to understand contractual needs.
Support contract negotiations with domestic and international clients.
Maintain contract templates and standard clauses.
Provide legal guidance on contract interpretation and risk mitigation.
Track contract lifecycle activities and maintain proper documentation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent. LL.M. is an added advantage.
4+ years of experience in contract drafting and review.
Strong experience in intellectual property and commercial agreements.
Excellent understanding of contract law, IP law, and legal risk management.
Experience in reviewing and negotiating complex contractual provisions.
Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments within deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Lawyers with international exposure in drafting and negotiating contracts.
Experience working with multinational clients or cross-border transactions.
Familiarity with global contracting standards and compliance requirements.
Prior experience in a legal process outsourcing (LPO), technology, or research-driven organization is an advantage.
