Business Development Specialist (IT Service)

About the Role
We are looking for a result-oriented Business Development Manager/Business Development Specialist with proven experience in IT services sales, particularly in Staff Augmentation and ERP solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of achieving monthly sales targets, generating new business opportunities, and managing the complete sales lifecycle as an Individual Contributor.
This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a target-driven environment and possess excellent consultative selling and relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients for IT Staff Augmentation and ERP implementation/services.
- Generate qualified leads through outbound sales, networking, referrals, and strategic market research.
- Manage the complete sales cycle—from lead generation and requirement gathering to proposal submission, negotiation, closure, and handover.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with CXOs, decision-makers, and procurement teams.
- Collaborate with delivery, recruitment, and technical teams to provide timely and effective solutions to clients.
- Prepare sales proposals, commercial quotations, RFP/RFI responses, and presentations.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using CRM tools.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
- Achieve and consistently exceed assigned monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Mentor, guide, and train a team of 1–2 Business Development Executives/Sales Associates, providing support in lead generation, sales strategies, client interactions, and performance improvement while continuing to drive individual sales targets.
Mandatory Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Business Development within the IT Services industry.
- Proven experience in selling IT Staff Augmentation services and ERP solutions/services.
- Strong track record as an Individual Contributor (IC) with end-to-end ownership of the sales process.
- Demonstrated achievement of monthly revenue targets ranging from ₹5 Lakhs to ₹10 Lakhs consistently.
- Experience in hunting new business and opening new client accounts.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of IT services sales, solution selling, and consultative selling methodologies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with domestic and/or international clients.
Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Zoho CRM, HubSpot, or similar tools.
Exposure to cloud, digital transformation, enterprise applications, or software development services will be an added advantage.
Success Metrics
Consistently achieve monthly revenue targets of ₹5–10 Lakhs.
Acquire new enterprise customers and expand existing accounts.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with strong conversion rates.
Drive sustainable business growth through strategic client acquisition and relationship management.
