The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer / Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all websites, web applications, landing pages, and digital solutions developed by JTSi meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, performance, security, usability, accessibility, and customer requirements before deployment.

The QA Engineer shall act as the custodian of quality throughout the website development lifecycle by validating requirements, conducting comprehensive testing, identifying defects, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, customer-centric thinking, and a commitment to delivering error-free digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities
1. Requirement Review and Quality Planning
• Review project requirements, scope documents, and technical specifications.
• Participate in project kick-off and requirement review meetings.
• Identify potential quality risks during project planning.
• Prepare Quality Assurance plans for assigned projects.
• Define testing scope, test strategy, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.

2. Functional Testing
• Verify all website functionalities against approved requirements.
• Perform end-to-end testing of:
o Contact forms
o Registration forms
o Login systems
o Search functionality
o Payment gateways
o Membership portals
o CRM integrations
o API integrations
o Dynamic content modules
o E-commerce functionality
• Ensure all business workflows function correctly.

3. User Interface (UI) Testing
• Verify website design consistency across all pages.
• Validate:
o Layout consistency
o Navigation flow
o Fonts and typography
o Images and media
o Color schemes
o Branding guidelines
o Responsive design behavior
• Ensure the final website matches approved mockups and design specifications.

4. Cross-Browser and Cross-Device Testing
• Test websites across multiple browsers including:
o Google Chrome
o Microsoft Edge
o Mozilla Firefox
o Safari
• Validate website behavior on:
o Desktop computers
o Tablets
o Mobile devices
o Different screen resolutions
• Ensure responsive design compatibility.

5. Website Performance Testing
• Validate page loading speed and performance.
• Identify performance bottlenecks.
• Verify:
o Core Web Vitals
o Page speed metrics
o Image optimization
o Caching implementation
o Database performance
• Work with developers to optimize website performance.

6. SEO Quality Assurance
• Verify implementation of SEO best practices including:
o Meta titles
o Meta descriptions
o Structured data
o XML sitemaps
o URL structure
o Header hierarchy
o Image ALT tags
o Internal linking
• Ensure websites are search-engine friendly before launch.

7. Accessibility Compliance Testing
• Validate compliance with accessibility standards.
• Verify:
o Keyboard navigation
o Screen reader compatibility
o Contrast ratios
o Alternative text
o Accessible forms
• Promote inclusive website experiences.

8. Security Testing
• Perform website security validation.
• Verify:
o SSL implementation
o User authentication
o Authorization controls
o Data protection measures
o Security plugins
o Vulnerability checks
• Identify and report security risks.

9. Content and Quality Review
• Review website content for:
o Grammar
o Spelling
o Formatting
o Broken links
o Missing images
o Incorrect information
• Ensure content aligns with customer-approved material.

10. Defect Management
• Log, track, prioritize, and verify defects.
• Maintain defect registers and testing reports.
• Follow up with developers on issue resolution.
• Validate fixes and perform regression testing.

11. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support
• Coordinate UAT activities with clients and project teams.
• Prepare UAT test cases and acceptance checklists.
• Assist customers during UAT sessions.
• Track customer feedback and validation results.

12. Deployment Readiness Verification
• Conduct pre-launch quality reviews.
• Verify deployment readiness.
• Approve websites for production release only after successful completion of all testing activities.
• Ensure launch checklists are completed.

13. Post-Go-Live Validation
• Perform post-launch verification.
• Monitor website functionality after deployment.
• Ensure smooth transition to support and maintenance teams.
• Validate issue resolution during stabilization periods.

14. Quality Process Improvement
• Contribute to the development of QA standards, templates, and best practices.
• Recommend process improvements.
• Support automation testing initiatives.
• Participate in lessons learned and quality review sessions.

Mandatory Responsibilities
• Update testing activities daily in OfficeGaP (OG).
• Maintain defect tracking records.
• Submit daily and weekly QA status reports.
• Ensure all testing documentation is maintained and updated.
• Participate in project review meetings.
• Maintain QA checklists for every project.

Required Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience
QA Engineer
• 2–5 years of experience in website testing, software testing, or quality assurance.
Senior QA Engineer / Test Engineer
• 5+ years of experience in website testing and quality assurance.
• Experience with international customer projects preferred.
