Associate - QA Engineer

At 2Base, we are rebuilding the Quality function into a precision-driven, ownership-based, product-aligned capability. This is a foundational Quality Analyst role responsible for understanding requirements deeply, validating system behaviour logically, and ensuring development outputs are correct, testable, and aligned with business intent.
As an Associate - QA Engineer, you will act as the quality gatekeeper of the system. You will learn to think in workflows, edge cases, data states, and system behaviour, not just screens. Your work will directly impact product stability, customer trust, and release confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

-Understand and analyse BRD, SRS, user stories, and functional documents before testing.
-Convert requirements into structured and logical test scenarios.
-Assist in writing detailed, structured, and traceable test cases.
-Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications.
-Execute system testing, integration testing, regression testing, browser compatibility testing, and responsive testing to ensure the application functions correctly across different environments and devices.​
-Identify edge cases, alternate flows, and boundary conditions.
-Log, document, and track defects with clarity and reproducibility.
-Validate fixes and ensure no regression impact.
-Support the creation and maintenance of test reports.
-Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Developers to clarify expected behaviours.
-Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and sprint-level validation.
-Gradually learn automation basics and structured testing approaches, AI testing tools.
-Take ownership of assigned modules and ensure release readiness.

Requirements

-Basic understanding of software testing concepts and QA processes.
-Strong attention to detail and structured thinking ability.
-Willingness to deeply understand business logic before testing.
-Ability to think beyond happy paths and identify edge cases and risks.
-Good written and verbal communication skills.
-Analytical thinking and curiosity to question unexpected system behaviour.
-Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
-Strong documentation skills for defect reporting and test case writing.
-Interest in learning automation, AI testing methodologies and structured QA.
-Positive attitude and ownership mindset.

Experience & Education

-Freshers / Candidates with internship experience
-Recent graduates or students from the 2025 /2026 batch pursuing or holding a Diploma, Degree, or B.Tech in IT, CS, or MCA.

Good to have

-Familiarity with defect tracking tools, Postman for API basics
-ISTQB certifications or equivalent.
