Role Overview
We are seeking a Team Lead to head our Database Support team. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise in SQL Server and proven experience in managing Production Support operations. You will be responsible for team mentorship, ensuring system uptime, and managing high-stakes technical escalations.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of SQL/Support engineers, conducting performance reviews and technical guidance.
Incident Management: Oversee the resolution of critical production issues (L2/L3), ensuring strict adherence to SLAs and incident management protocols.
Technical Oversight: Act as the final point of escalation for complex SQL queries, stored procedure optimizations, and database performance bottlenecks.
Process Improvement: Implement and refine support workflows, automation scripts, and monitoring dashboards to reduce manual intervention.
Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with clients and internal product teams regarding system health, release schedules, and root cause analysis (RCA).
Technical Requirements
Experience: 7+ years of experience in SQL Server, development/support role and maintenance.
Leadership: Experience in leading a team
Support Domain: Strong background in Production Support, Application Support, or Database Administration.
Operations: Deep understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
Technical Skills: Expert-level Query Tuning, Indexing, SQL Agent jobs, and SSIS troubleshooting.
Tools: Proficiency in ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Jira.
