OCI Engineer
Job Description:
The OCI Infrastructure engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services to support the CLOUDVICE project needs. This role, plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of OCI-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Set up necessary policies, groups, compartments and domains (IAM)
· Set up VCNs, subnets, and security rules to create isolated and secure network environments.
· Deploy and configure virtual machines, containers (OKE), OCI functions, storage, databases and other resources within OCI.
· Should have experience in OCI networking tasks like IPsec VPN, Fast Connect, and Interconnectivity setup between cloud and On-premise
· Should know the best practices in cloud security.
· OCI governance and compliance
· OCI WAF, OCI Cloud Guard, OCI Network Firewalls, Security zones etc
· Optimize OCI resources for cost-efficiency and performance
· Implement OCI Monitoring solutions for various applications and OCI resources
· Automate daily routine tasks using bash scripts or IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
· Good to have experience with DevOps tools.
Education & Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
. Experience -2-6 years
· Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications are a plus (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect, Administrator, Developer).
· Proficiency in working with OCI services, such as Compute, Networking, Database, Storage, and Identity & Access Management.
· Experience with cloud migration, architecture design, and best practices.
· Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Terraform, Ansible).
· Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
