Ruby on Rails Developer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing high-performance web applications, while ensuring seamless integration between the front end and server-side logic. This role requires strong expertise in Rails, GraphQL, database optimization, background processing, and API development.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails with high performance and responsiveness.
Handle development tasks including database interactions, server-side logic, and API development.
Manage and optimize background jobs using Sidekiq, Resque, or similar tools.
Implement and maintain database solutions using PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and optimizing query performance.
Utilize Redis for caching and background job management to enhance overall system performance.
Develop, maintain, and enhance APIs for seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party services.
Collaborate with front-end developers and cross-functional teams to integrate user-friendly elements with server-side logic.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to resolve performance issues.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies.
Establish and enforce testing protocols, and mentor team members in writing effective tests.

Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
Strong proficiency in Ruby and in-depth understanding of the Rails framework.
Hands-on experience with GraphQL (mandatory) and RESTful APIs.
Extensive knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
Proven experience using background processing tools like Sidekiq or Resque.
Practical experience with Redis for caching and queue management.
Solid experience with WebSockets.
Proficient in Git and version control workflows.
Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Strong ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, including N+1 query issues.
Experience in establishing testing frameworks and mentoring teams on test best practices.
Ability to enhance and maintain existing APIs to meet evolving project requirements.
