Business Analyst (Immediate joiner)

Job Title: Business Analyst
Reports to: Manager - IT Program Manager
Experience : 5 Plus


Role Purpose

The Business Analyst role involves working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors on requirement gathering, gap analysis, system study, and scope definition. The objective is to ensure seamless upgrades of trading and post-trade platforms.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Gap Analysis & Requirements Gathering
Collaborate with business stakeholders like brokerage, operations, risk, finance, and compliance teams to capture functional and non-functional requirements.
Translate business needs into detailed specifications documents.
Identify gaps, dependencies, and process impacts due to change/upgrades.
2. Documentation and Communication
Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and process flows.
Maintain a requirements traceability matrix (RTM) to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Communicate requirements clearly to internal teams and external vendors.
3. System Upgrade & Implementation Support
Work with IT and vendors on planning, testing, and deployment.
Work with Business and the development team for any clarification or improvement required during the development phase.
Work with the Business & testing team to build test scenarios and support during execution.
Perform impact assessments on existing workflows, interfaces, and data.
Ensure system changes align with regulatory and compliance requirements in capital markets.
4. Stakeholder Management
Act as the liaison between business users, technology, and vendors.
Prepare and present status updates, impact analyses, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Support change management, user training, and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or management information systems.
Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within capital markets.

Skills and Knowledge

Strong understanding of asset classes (equities, derivatives, etc.) and capital markets processes (trading, clearing & settlement).
Experience in requirement gathering and documentation standards (e.g., Use cases and user stories).
Ability to analyse and identify gaps, dependencies, and upgrade impacts across all existing systems.
Experience in system upgrades, migrations, or implementations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SQL, and Excel.
Familiarity with the SDLC process using both Agile and waterfall methods.
High-level English and Arabic proficiency, spoken and written.
Knowledge of CMA regulations and other regulatory bodies.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
Customer-centric mindset with a focus on providing excellent support to end-users.
Thoroughness in documenting procedures and ensuring accuracy in system configurations.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Exposure to Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
