Odoo Developer

We are looking for a hands-on Odoo Techno-Functional Developer with 1–2 years of experience to support Odoo customization, development, debugging and integrations. The candidate will work closely with senior developers and should be capable of independently handling small to medium development tasks.
Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with Odoo 16–19, including Community and Enterprise editions.

Experience working with Odoo.sh and Git-based development workflows.

Good knowledge of Python and Odoo ORM, including models, fields, inheritance, recordsets, domains, context, computed fields, constraints and business logic.

Experience with XML, Odoo views, QWeb reports, actions, menus and wizards.

Basic knowledge of JavaScript and OWL; POS/frontend customization is an advantage.

Understanding of Odoo security, including ACLs, groups and record rules.

Basic to intermediate PostgreSQL/SQL knowledge for debugging and data validation.

Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations is preferred.

Good understanding of Git, branching, pull requests and code review practices.

Ability to troubleshoot Python, XML, database, access-right and API-related issues.

Basic experience with Odoo testing and regression testing.

Exposure to Odoo upgrades/migrations is an advantage.

AI-Assisted Development

Comfortable using AI coding tools / vibe coding for code generation, debugging, refactoring, documentation and test creation.

Must be able to understand, review, validate and debug AI-generated code rather than relying on it blindly.

Should be interested in adopting modern AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity.

Preferred

Experience with Accounting, Sales, Purchase, Inventory or POS.

Experience with payment gateways, e-invoicing, WhatsApp/SMS or mobile API integrations.

Basic Linux/server and deployment knowledge.

Good problem-solving and debugging skills.

Key Expectation

The candidate should be able to understand a requirement, analyze the existing Odoo implementation, develop the solution, test it and troubleshoot issues with limited supervision, while following clean Odoo development practices.
