Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst
Employment Type: Full time
Experience: 4-5 years

Key Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze and document business requirements through team meetings and stakeholder discussions.
Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, process flows and use cases.
Collaborate with product owners, project managers, developers and QA teams to ensure alignment of requirements with deliverables.
Support in preparing proposals, business cases, feasibility studies and impact assessments for new initiatives.
Conduct gap analysis, SWOT analysis and process mapping to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and process workflows.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to resolve queries and clarify requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform data analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL or BI platforms to support decision-making.

Skills Needed:
Strong knowledge of business analysis frameworks, requirement-gathering techniques and documentation standards.
Proficiency in creating Proposals, BRDs, FSDs, user stories and process flows.
Experience in working with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL (basic queries) and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau preferred).
Good understanding of system integrations, workflows and business processes.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management fundamentals.
An overview and basic idea of visual design tools such as Canva, Uizard and similar platforms.
