Power BI Developer

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Power BI Developer with 5+ years of experience in building interactive dashboards, data models, and BI solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data visualization, with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Required Skills & Experience:
• 5+ years of professional experience in BI development, data modeling, and database management.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), and Power Apps for business application development.
• Experience in data modeling, including star/snowflake schemas, and relational database concepts.
• Understanding of row-level security (RLS) and data governance practices.
• Experience with Power BI Service (publishing, workspace management, refresh scheduling).
• Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration methods.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server (T-SQL, database design, optimization).
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, or similar cloud services.
• Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) for workflow automation and app development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills for collaborating with business and technical teams.
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft DP-600, PL-300, or PL-900 (Power Platform).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Analytics, or other cloud-based BI solutions.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and big data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience with SSRS, SSIS, and other Microsoft BI stack components.
• Knowledge of performance tuning for Power BI, databases, and Power Apps.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and Power Apps solutions to meet business needs.
• Optimize data models (star/snowflake schemas) and implement DAX/Power Query best practices.
• Manage Power BI Service workspaces, refresh schedules, and row-level security (RLS).
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Power Query, Azure Data Factory, or SQL Server.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure data accuracy & governance.
• Automate workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate to enhance business processes.
• Tune SQL queries, database performance, and Power BI reports for optimal efficiency.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with Azure services (SQL DB, Synapse, Fabric).
• Support DevOps practices (CI/CD, version control) for BI and Power Platform deployments.
• Stay updated with Microsoft BI & Power Platform advancements and recommend improvements.
