Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated System Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our organization’s computer systems and networks. This role requires a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and experience with system software, hardware, and networking.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain IT systems, networks, and servers.
Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain operating systems, databases, and applications.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and ensure optimal system efficiency.
Perform system backups, disaster recovery, and data protection tasks.
Manage and configure network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
Ensure system security through the implementation of firewalls, anti-virus, and other security measures.
Provide technical support to internal teams and end users.
Collaborate with IT staff to identify and resolve system issues.
Prepare documentation and provide training to users when necessary.
Participate in system upgrades, testing, and installations.
Stay up to date with industry trends and technology developments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a System Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS).
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
Proficiency in scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
Experience with web server hosting (shared/on-premises) and web servers such as Nginx, Apache, and Tomcat.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, AWS CodeCommit, etc.).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
