Software QA and Support Engineer (WFH)

Empress InfoTech is a custom software and product development company that offers end-to-end solutions, from concept and strategy, to design, development, testing, implementation, and support. We partner with many clients to create and support innovative solutions that help businesses become successful in the marketplace.

We are seeking a Software QA and Support Engineer to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the quality of our software solutions. This role involves diagnosing software problems, working closely with customers, and conducting software testing and support to maintain high standards of performance and reliability. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with quality assurance in a web-based application environment.

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide software support to end users, and provide application support.
• Involve in change management, defect tracking and release process.
• Perform functionality, performance, and usability testing.
• Identify customer issues, analyze and identify the cause, and take appropriate action to resolve.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve software-related issues in a Windows and SQL Server environment.
• Work with programmers and other teams members to assist in development processes to deliver quality software solutions.

Skills and Technologies Required:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Good technical and debugging skills.
• Experience in Web, Desktop, Mobile, and database products and custom software applications.
• Working knowledge of SQL queries and databases.
• Knowledge of SDLC, testing life cycle, defect tracking mechanism, and all other Quality Assurance processes.
• Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server.
• AWS, Azure and cloud services.
• ASP.NET, C#, jQuery, JavaScript.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in software support and testing.

Location: Work from home.

Work Hours: 5 PM to 2 AM IST or rotational shifts based on project requirements. The schedule is 8 to 9 hours per day, Monday to Friday, totaling 40 work hours per week.
