Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

Define and own end-to-end solution architecture for large-scale, mission-critical systems.
Design systems using multiple architectural styles, including:

Monolithic-to-modernization patterns
Apply design patterns and enterprise integration patterns to solve complex technical problems.
Ensure architectural decisions align with scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization goals.

Technical Leadership

Act as the primary technical point for engineering teams.
Mentor senior engineers and associate architects on architecture best practices.
Review and approve solution designs, high-level designs (HLD), and low-level designs (LLD).
Drive architectural governance, standards, and best practices across teams.

Cloud & Platform Engineering

Design and implement solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Guide teams on containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD strategies.

Emerging Technologies

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where they add business value.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with managers, engineering leaders, security teams, and business stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Programming & Development

Strong hands-on experience with multiple programming languages, such as:
Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular
Deep understanding of OO design principles, SOLID principles, and clean architecture.

Architecture & Patterns

Proven experience in:
Design patterns
Distributed systems design

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Strategy
• Define and govern database architecture standards across projects
• Design highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure data platforms
• Evaluate and select database technologies based on business and technical needs
• Own long-term database and data platform roadmap

Performance, Scale & Reliability
• Architect solutions for high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Lead complex performance tuning and capacity planning initiatives
• Design and govern disaster recovery and multi-region strategies
• Drive reliability engineering practices and database SLAs/SLOs

Cloud & Modern Data Platforms
• Architect and manage databases on AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Guide teams on managed, distributed, and cloud-native database services
• Provide governance for containerized and Kubernetes-based database workloads
• Ensure security, encryption, auditing, and compliance requirements are met

Technical Leadership & Mentorship
• Act as the final authority for database-related technical decisions
• Mentor senior and mid-level database engineers
• Review and approve database architecture and migration designs
• Support presales, solutioning, and client technical discussions

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with CTOs, Architects, Engineering Leads, and Product teams
• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
• Represent database architecture in executive and client forums

Required Skills & Experience

• 8 + years of deep database engineering experience
• Expert-level knowledge of multiple RDBMS platforms
• Strong experience with distributed databases and NoSQL systems
• Deep understanding of sharding, partitioning, replication, and consistency models
• Extensive experience with cloud database ecosystems
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and advanced monitoring tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise-scale or multi-tenant data platforms
• Background in compliance-heavy or regulated environments
• Strong consulting or architecture leadership experience
• Cloud and database certifications (highly desirable)

Key Responsibilities:
 Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-grade, high-performance web applications using ColdFusion and Lucee, integrating modern frontend technologies like
React.js.
 Drive initiatives to migrate legacy Adobe ColdFusion applications to the Lucee platform, ensuring seamless transition, compatibility, and performance optimization.
 Guide, mentor, and coach a team of developers, performing rigorous code reviews and enforcing best practices and coding standards.
 Collaborate closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather complex requirements, define technical specifications, and manage project lifecycles.
 Oversee performance optimization for existing applications and new feature development, focusing on scalability, security, and reliability.
 Develop and integrate backend systems with frontend interfaces and third-party services using RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, JSON, and XML data formats.

Preferred Skills:

 8+ years of extensive experience in Full Stack ColdFusion development, including proven
technical leadership or team management roles.
 Primary Skills: Deep expertise in CFML, CFCs, SQL, and related web technologies (HTML5,
CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery).
 Advanced experience in architecting, designing, and leading the development of highly
scalable and complex enterprise-level applications, applying Object-Oriented Programming
(OOP) principles and robust MVC frameworks (e.g., ColdBox, FW/1).
 Mastery in hands-on development, optimization, and maintenance of critical web
applications using CFML. This includes deep proficiency in database performance tuning,
complex SQL query optimization, and schema design for relational databases like Oracle, SQL
Server, or MySQL.
 Extensive experience in designing, developing, and consuming complex RESTful APIs and
SOAP web services using JSON and XML data formats.

 Proven experience in migrating legacy ColdFusion applications to modern platforms,
including migration experience from Adobe ColdFusion to Lucee server environments.
 Strong capability in modern frontend development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery,
and Ajax. Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React.js, is required.
 Expert knowledge of code version control tools like Git or SVN. Experience in driving and
implementing modern development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing,
and DevOps principles.
 Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for highly complex, mission-critical issues in
production environments. Eagerness to debug and ensure maximum application uptime and
performance.
 Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to gather complex
requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and
translate sophisticated business needs into robust technical deliverables.
 A proactive attitude towards learning, evaluating, and adapting to new technologies,
