Team Lead – Technical (Housing Finance)
This role requires exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, along with strong
technical expertise in .NET technologies and modern software architectures.
Industry expertise and domain knowledge in managing software development projects within the Mortgage /
Housing Finance domain are essential for this position. Prior experience in the Housing Finance industry is
preferred.
The incumbent will be responsible to understands business and domain requirements, translates them into
implementation-ready technical designs, and ensures correct execution by the development team within
established architectural standards.
Responsibilities :
1. Business & Requirement Translation (Core Responsibility)
• Act as the primary technical point of contact between business teams, managers, architects, and developers.
• Understand business and domain requirements and convert them into:
*Detailed technical designs
*Implementation approaches
*Development tasks and acceptance criteria
• Identify functional gaps, edge cases, dependencies, and non-functional requirements early in the lifecycle.
• Provide technical feasibility inputs, impact analysis, and effort estimates.
• Ensure business intent is accurately reflected in technical implementation.
2. Technical Execution & Delivery Ownership
• Own technical execution of features and enhancements within approved architecture and standards.
• Ensure development adheres to:
*Defined architecture guidelines
*Coding standards and best practices
*Security, performance, and compliance requirements
• Guide teams on how to implement solutions correctly, not what architecture to define.
• Take accountability for technical quality and correctness of delivered functionality.
3. Development Team Leadership
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to developers during:
* Design interpretation
* Development
* Debugging and optimization
• Conduct code reviews to ensure:
* Maintainability
* Performance
* Security
*Alignment with prescribed patterns
• Mentor team members and build technical and domain capability.
4. Hands-on Development & Issue Resolution
• Contribute hands-on to development for complex or critical components when required.
• Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of:
*Complex technical defects
*Production issues
• Ensure timely fixes while minimizing business impact.
• Balance hands-on work with overall delivery oversight.
5. Collaboration with Architects & Stakeholders
• Collaborate with architects to:
*Clarify architecture intent
*Resolve implementation-level questions
*Ensure alignment with defined standards
• Escalate architectural concerns or gaps appropriately rather than redefining architecture.
• Communicate technical constraints, risks, and dependencies clearly to managers and business stakeholders.
6. Quality Assurance, Release & Support
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Support deployment and release activities from a technical standpoint.
• Ensure post-release stability and lead technical support for production issues.
• Continuously improve development practices and tooling within the team.
7. Domain & Compliance Awareness
• Apply Housing Finance / Mortgage domain knowledge in day-to-day implementation decisions.
• Ensure delivered solutions align with:
*Business processes
*Regulatory and compliance requirements
*Data security standards
• Act as a domain-aware technical advisor during requirement and delivery discussions.
Must have technical skills
1. Strong hands-on expertise in .NET 4.8 / 6+ and C#
2. Experience with ASP.NET Web API and RESTful services
3. Strong understanding of SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning)
4. Ability to guide teams on implementation within defined architecture
5. Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum delivery practices
6. Experience resolving complex technical and production issues
Good to have technical skills
1. Experience with ORM frameworks (Entity Framework / Dapper)
2. Exposure to modern application architecture (layered, microservices, event-
driven)
3. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git- based workflows
Educational qualification :
Post-Graduation/Graduation in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Experience Range: 9-15 Years
