Associate Manager - Testing
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Test Manager to lead our testing function across diverse projects and clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong core testing expertise, a consultative mindset, and a blend of leadership, project management, and business acumen.
This role requires someone who can bridge technology and business, ensuring exceptional delivery quality while contributing to pre-sales discussions, client consulting, and continuous process innovation.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor, and develop QA teams working across multiple domains, ensuring alignment with project and business objectives.
• Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies encompassing manual, automation, functional, integration, and performance testing.
• Act as a functional consultant, engaging with clients to understand requirements, propose testing approaches, and contribute to solution design.
• Oversee end-to-end test execution, ensuring compliance with quality standards, timelines, and client expectations.
• Bridge technology and business, ensuring exceptional delivery quality while contributing to pre-sales discussions, client consulting, and continuous process innovation.
• Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and business teams to ensure seamless releases and continuous quality improvement.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and risks, ensuring optimal utilisation and on-time delivery.
• Contribute to proposal preparation, effort estimation, and pre-sales discussions by showcasing testing capabilities and strategic inputs.
• Track, analyse, and present test metrics and outcomes to stakeholders and management.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance QA processes, tools, and automation frameworks for scalability and efficiency.
• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and learning within the QA and testing function.
Required Skills and Experience
• 8+ years of proven experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong hands-on expertise in core testing areas – Manual, Automation (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.), ETL testing and Performance Testing (JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar).
• Solid understanding of functional testing, business process validation, and test consulting practices.
• Working experience in Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD environments with tools like Jira, TestRail, and SonarQube.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
• Interest and experience in contributing to pre-sales discussions, client consulting, and continuous process innovation.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to ETL or data testing, including SQL and BI/DWH validation.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience in pre-sales, proposal building, or client consulting will be a strong advantage.
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification preferred.
• A strong inclination toward business understanding and innovation-driven QA leadership.
