Role Summary
The RCM Operations Team Lead will be responsible for managing day-to-day revenue cycle operations, ensuring accuracy in billing and collections, improving process efficiency, and leading a team to achieve performance targets.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
Oversee end-to-end RCM processes.
Monitor daily productivity and quality metrics of the team.
Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and healthcare billing standards.
Ensure timely claim submission and follow-up to meet revenue targets.
2. Team Leadership & Supervision
Manage and guide a team of RCM Executives/Analysts.
Conduct daily huddles and weekly performance reviews.
Identify training needs and coordinate refresher sessions.
Provide feedback and performance improvement plans (PIP) where required.
Ensure adherence to attendance, shift schedules, and discipline standards.
3. Quality & Compliance
Conduct periodic quality audits of claims, and follow-up documentation.
Ensure SOP adherence and update process documentation as needed.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and client-specific policies.
Support internal and external audits.
4. Process Improvement & Reporting
Analyse operational data.
Identify root causes for revenue leakage and implement corrective measures.
Drive automation or process enhancement initiatives.
Prepare MIS reports and dashboards for leadership review.
Escalate critical issues proactively with resolution plans.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, Commerce or related field preferred).
3–4 years of experience in Healthcare RCM.
Minimum 1–2 years of team handling experience.
Strong understanding of US Healthcare billing process and payer guidelines.
