Senior QA Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Tester with 7-8 years of experience to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our healthcare Patient Portal and Provider Portal applications. This role involves leading testing efforts, mentoring junior testers, supporting client onboarding, and ensuring production stability through thorough validation and proactive issue management.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
• Design, review, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
• Lead functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing cycles
• Ensure complete test coverage for new features and enhancements
• Validate complex workflows including appointments, patient data, provider configurations, and forms
Defect Management & Issue Support
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects to closure
• Perform detailed root cause analysis for recurring or critical issues
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and validate fixes
• Support production issues, hotfix validation, and critical releases
Automation & Process Improvement
• Contribute to or develop automation test scripts (if applicable)
• Identify areas for QA process improvements and implement best practices
• Improve test efficiency through reusable test assets and optimized workflows
Documentation & Communication
• Maintain test cases, onboarding checklists, and issue logs.
• Provide clear status updates on testing and onboarding progress.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and occasionally with client-facing teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 7-8 years of experience in software testing/quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing types.
• Hands-on experience in testing web-based applications and APIs.
• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and API tools (e.g., Postman).
• Solid understanding of SQL for backend/data validation.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
