ERPNext Functional Engineer

Position Overview
The ERPNext Functional Engineer is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting ERPNext across business functions — without writing code. This role focuses on understanding business processes, mapping them into ERPNext modules, configuring workflows, setting up masters, and ensuring seamless system adoption across departments.

Key Responsibilities
1. Functional Implementation & Configuration
Analyze business requirements and translate them into ERPNext workflows and configurations.
Set up modules such as Sales, Purchase, Accounting, Inventory, CRM, Projects, HR, and Manufacturing based on client or internal needs.
Configure custom fields, print formats, role permissions, and reports using ERPNext’s built-in tools.
Manage data migration and master data setup (Items, Customers, Suppliers, BOMs, Chart of Accounts, etc.).

2. Business Process Mapping
Conduct workshops with business users to understand existing processes.
Map current processes to ERPNext best practices and suggest process improvements.
Document business requirements, functional specifications, and user manuals.

3. Testing & Validation
Prepare and execute test cases for module validation and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
Identify gaps and coordinate with the technical/development team for solutions.
Verify system outputs, workflows, and reports align with business rules.

4. User Training & Support
Conduct ERPNext training sessions for end-users and super-users.
Provide first-line functional support and troubleshoot configuration-related issues.
Create functional documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base materials.

5. Coordination & Project Management
Collaborate with developers for technical customizations (without coding yourself).
Ensure tasks are tracked, tested, and deployed as per timelines.
Support project delivery by maintaining implementation checklists and status reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.

Experience:
1–4 years of experience in ERPNext or similar ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, etc.) as a functional consultant/analyst.
Strong understanding of business domains: Accounting, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, and HR.
Skills:
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and client-handling abilities.
Proficient in ERPNext setup and configuration (without programming).
Familiarity with Frappe Framework concepts is a plus (for coordination).
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Compensation:
₹2.5 LPA – ₹3.6 LPA for candidates with 1–2 years of functional/ERP experience.
