Project Manager
Job Description:
Understanding the project from the planning stage, such as scope of work, deliverables, budget, and resources in order to manage the project successfully. Create and execute project work plans and revise accordingly to meet changing needs and requirements.
Responsibilities:
Project Manager have goals and activities expected of them grouped under 4 specific Responsibilities as detailed below:
People Management
Regular one-on-one’s with their team
Creation and management of development plans for their team
Monitor and make team individuals accountable for responsibilities of their role
Project & Technology Leadership
Manage customer’s requests, analyze the impact of change requests and follow process of changing requests
Study business functions; gather information; evaluate output requirements and formats
Translate requirements into various documentation deliverables such as functional specifica-tions, use cases, user stories, workflow/process diagrams, data flow/data model diagrams.
In charge of documents writing of User Requirement Specification and Feature List
Ensure the development delivery processes are being applied for all development activities, project and maintenance/enhancement.
Teamwork and Collaboration
Ownership and timely delivery of assigned tasks
Identification of excess capacity and sharing of excess resource or specialist knowledge across the broader team
Timely and proactive response to requests for service from all areas of the business
Consistent and continual update of time-sheeting/time-logging system to ensure time logs are up to date daily
Communicate directly with the Delivery Software Team to ensure they are fully informed of project status at all times.
Identify and remove obstacles to achieving project efficiency.
Quality and Continuous Improvement
Possess and exercise “an eye for detail” to ensure that code delivery passes creative QA.
Ensure regular code reviews are being conducted.
Requirements:
Total experience of 10+ years with 3+ years of Project Manager experience with gradually increasing responsibilities and a demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, artifacts and tools
A track record as a coach, mentor, and developer of talent
Ability to independently manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as li-aison between project management and project team
An ability to drive to big picture goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail
An ability to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints
Demonstrated ability in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, project management
Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Experience in business process mapping or operational redesign / improvement
Experience working with quality management approaches, techniques, and principles to en-sure quality
Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, profes-sional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders
Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work
