Opening for MDM Architect
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance & Master Data Management (MDM) leader to
drive our enterprise-wide data strategy, governance framework, and master data management
initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in data governance, data quality,
metadata management, and MDM tools to ensure trusted, well-managed, and high-quality data
that supports critical business decisions and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Data Governance
• Establish and lead the enterprise data governance framework, policies, and standards.
• Define and monitor data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models.
• Develop and enforce data classification, privacy, and security policies aligned with
regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, BFSI regulations).
• Drive adoption of data cataloging, lineage, and metadata management practices.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and
compliant across the enterprise.
Master Data Management (MDM)
• Define and implement the MDM strategy, operating model, and governance framework.
• Lead MDM solution design, configuration, and integration with enterprise applications
(ERP, CRM, Data Lakes, etc.).
• Manage data domains (Customer, Product, Vendor, Employee, etc.) ensuring data
consistency and standardization.
• Oversee data quality management processes including profiling, cleansing, matching,
merging, and survivorship rules.
• Partner with technical teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing MDM
implementations (Profisee, Informatica, Reltio, Boomi, etc.).
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Engage senior business leaders to align data initiatives with business goals.
• Lead a cross-functional team of data stewards, analysts, and architects.
• Provide thought leadership on data-driven decision-making and advanced data
management practices.
• Drive change management and foster a culture of data ownership across the organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 10–15 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, and MDM.
• Strong expertise in enterprise data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM,
ISO 8000/25500).
• Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (Profisee, Informatica, Reltio, Semarchy, SAP
MDG, Boomi MDM, etc.).
• Experience in metadata management, lineage tools, and data catalogs (Collibra,
OvalEdge, Purview, Alation, Informatica EDC).
• Deep understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and integration patterns.
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale MDM programs across multiple
domains.
• Strong knowledge of data compliance and regulatory requirements (GDPR, BCBS239,
SOX, HIPAA, etc.).
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certification in Data Governance / MDM (e.g., DAMA CDMP, DCAM, Informatica
MDM, Profisee Certified, Collibra Certified).
• Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Manufacturing
domains.
• Exposure to cloud-based MDM and governance solutions (Azure Purview, AWS Glue,
GCP Dataplex, Fabric with OneLake).
• Experience in AI/ML-driven data quality and governance initiatives.
