Head of Finance

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Head of Finance to lead the overall financial strategy, planning, compliance, and governance of the organization. The candidate shall lead and be responsible for all financial activities of Admaren Tech Private Limited, including its subsidiaries, associates, and other entities in which
Admaren’s directors have an interest (collectively referred to as the ‘Admaren Group’.)

This role will serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, driving financial performance, strengthening internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting long-term business growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to build scalable financial systems and processes aligned with the company’s expansion objectives.

Key Responsibilities
(1) Financial Planning & Budgeting
• Prepare monthly and Yearly budgets and forecast
• Monitor actuals vs. budget and analyse variances
• Conduct department wise profitability review

(2) Accounting & Financial Reporting
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping and maintenance of accounts
• Consolidation and finalisation of the holding and subsidiary books
• Preparation of financial statements as per the applicable regulatory framework in India
• Co-ordination with the auditors for the timely completion of Audits

(3) Taxation & Compliance
• Compliance with the Income Tax, GST, Companies Act, FEMA , SEZ and other applicable regulations
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of the returns and forms requested under various act
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.

(4) Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
• Monitor cash flows
• Manage receivables and payables
• Co-ordination with bank including the compliance with loan facilities

(5) Internal Controls and Risk Management
• Establish internal financial controls
• Implement cost control measures
• Ensure fraud prevention and financial risk mitigation

(6) Payroll & Statutory Compliance
• Supervise payroll processing
• Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, PT, and labour laws
• Oversee employee reimbursement and expense management

(7) MIS & Management Reporting
• Prepare monthly/ MIS reports
• Present financial insights to senior management
• Support decision-making with financial data analysis

(8) Contract Management
• Contract Oversight & Custodianship: - Maintain a central repository of all financial contracts (vendor, client, lease, loan agreements, etc.), Ensure contracts are complete, properly authorized, and accessible to relevant stakeholders, Track contract timelines, renewals, and expiry dates
• Financial Compliance & Monitoring: - Review financial terms of contracts to ensure compliance with company policy, monitor payment terms, invoicing, and penalties/bonuses in contracts, ensure adherence to budgets and financial commitments outlined in contracts, Flag any deviations or potential financial risks to senior management.
• Risk Management: - Identify financial risks in contracts (e.g., unfavorable payment terms, hidden liabilities, foreign exchange exposure), Collaborate with legal and Management teams to mitigate risk, ensure contracts comply with statutory and regulatory requirements in India

(9) Revenue Tracking & Optimization
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of client invoices, with proactive tracking of receivables to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Efficiently manage foreign exchange exposure to minimize financial risk and optimize returns.
• Implement and enforce policies and practices aimed at preventing revenue leakages and safeguarding organizational earnings.

(10) Stakeholder Management
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with the Group’s stakeholders, including investors and third-party consultants, and deliver timely and accurate financial presentations as required.
• Support stakeholders by providing timely reports, financial data, and relevant analysis to facilitate informed decision-making and compliance requirements of the foreign investors

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (mandatory)
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
• Proven experience in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
• Expert-level working knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software, including Tally. Working knowledge of Zoho will be an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of Indian regulatory framework (Income Tax, GST, Companies Act, FEMA, SEZ)
• Experience in managing audits, statutory compliance, and corporate governance
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively present financial data to the Group’s stakeholders, including foreign investors
• Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring finance teams
• Strong exposure to cash flow management, working capital optimization, and banking relationships
• Experience in contract evaluation and financial risk management
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Key Responsibilities
• Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure software solutions.
• providing technical advice by evaluating new technologies and products to determine feasibility and desirability of the current business environment and to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions.
• Supervising and reviewing technology diagnosis and assessment activities.
• Working with the project managers to define the scope and cost estimation.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in web-based application development and cloud computing technologies.
• Expertise in modern architecture frameworks, microservices, and RESTful API design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Familiarity with maritime or cargo engineering software is a plus but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
