Cloud Engineer - AWS and GCP Specialist

Armia Systems Pvt Ltd @ Infopark Kochi is looking for a Cloud Engineer - AWS and GCP Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with strong experience in both Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a primary focus on migrating existing AWS infrastructure to GCP. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of cloud architecture, service mapping, and migration strategies, along with hands-on experience in implementing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Experience: 2+ years
Plan and execute end-to-end migration of workloads from AWS to GCP
Analyze existing AWS infrastructure and design equivalent or optimized architecture in GCP
Map AWS services to corresponding GCP services (e.g., EC2 → Compute Engine, RDS → Cloud SQL, S3 → Cloud Storage)
Perform data migration using appropriate tools and strategies (e.g., Database Migration Service, Storage Transfer Service)
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager
Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization in GCP
Configure networking components including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs
Implement security best practices including IAM roles, service accounts, encryption, and compliance controls
Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using GCP tools (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging)
Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization
Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams for seamless migration and deployment
Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues during and after migration

Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFront)
Strong hands-on experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run)
Proven experience in AWS to GCP migration projects
Good understanding of cloud networking concepts and hybrid connectivity
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes / GKE)
Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)
Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
GCP Certification (Associate Cloud Engineer / Professional Cloud Architect)
AWS Certification (Solutions Architect / SysOps)
Experience with multi-cloud environments
Experience with microservices architecture
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
