Medical Assistant

Medical assistants play a critical role in the daily operations of a medical practice. They work closely with doctors, nurses and other staff to provide patient care. Medical assistants working in cardiology perform specialized duties relating to heart health in addition to basic job responsibilities such as taking blood pressure and other vital signs, weighing patients and prepping them for medical procedures.

Eligibility :
1. Must be registered staff nurse .
2. Must have excellent proficiency in spoken & written English .
3. Ready to work in US shift timings .
4. Should do multiple tasks such as return patient phone calls and discuss minor clinical issues, able to deal with a lot of clinical issues.

Role & Responsibilities
• Addressing patient phone calls .
• Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions.
• Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards.
• Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. title:nurse, registered
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information.
• Collecting the laboratory specimens to send off for further testing if needed.
• Conducting the EKG
• Graduate from an accredited medical assisting program
• Performing the basic functions in addition to more specialized duties.
• Should have knowledge of heart conditions, such as angina, heart failure, heart valve disease and heart attack.
• Must be able to address basic questions about prescribed heart medications and any special diet recommendations the doctor makes.
• Explaining the patient what will take place once the cardiologist enters the room.
• Helps prepare the patient for examination and assists the specialist during the exam.
