Software Tester Intern
Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Tester Intern to support website quality assurance and content management activities. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing manual testing of websites and assisting with minor content updates using WordPress. This
internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical exposure to website testing processes and content management systems in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
● Conduct manual testing of websites across various browsers, devices, and screen resolutions to ensure consistent performance and user experience.
● Identify, document, and report defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues with appropriate supporting details.
● Validate website functionalities, including forms, navigation elements, and interactive components.
● Assist in executing regression testing following bug fixes or content updates.
● Perform content updates in WordPress, including text edits, image uploads, and formatting adjustments.
● Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment of content with defined guidelines.
● Review websites for minor UI issues such as layout misalignment, spacing inconsistencies, and broken links, and address them where applicable.
● Collaborate with internal teams to track, verify, and close reported issues.
● Maintain basic documentation related to testing activities and updates performed.
Required Skills
● Foundational understanding of website structure, navigation, and functionality.
● Familiarity with WordPress or similar content management systems.
● Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
● Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS will be considered an added advantage.
● Ability to test websites across multiple browsers and devices.
● Good written and verbal communication skills.
● Willingness to learn and adapt in a professional work environment.
Qualifications
● Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
● Demonstrated interest in software testing, quality assurance, or web development.
● Exposure to website-related projects or WordPress (academic or personal) will be an advantage.
● Prior professional experience is not required.
