SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST — AI & PRODUCT

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in elicitation, analysis, documentation, process design, and stakeholder engagement, who uses AI tools as a core part of their workflow. This is not an AI engineering role, but requires a solid understanding of AI-powered and digital solutions to shape clear, high-quality requirements and contribute to solution definition quickly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core BA Delivery

▸   Lead end-to-end requirements gathering for AI-powered and digitally-enabled product features — from discovery through to UAT sign-off.
▸   Facilitate structured workshops, interviews, and focus groups with business stakeholders, SMEs, and end users to elicit and validate requirements.
▸   Produce high-quality BA artefacts: BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process maps, data flow diagrams, use case specifications, and acceptance criteria.
▸   Define clear, testable acceptance criteria for AI features — including output quality thresholds, hallucination handling, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
▸   Maintain requirements traceability throughout delivery — linking business objectives to features, stories, and test outcomes.

Execution Agility & Task Ownership

▸   Take ownership of ambiguous, loosely defined tasks and independently drive them to completion.
▸   Deliver any required artefact (functional, operational, analytical, or presentation) based on client needs.
▸   Operate beyond traditional BA scope when required.

AI-Augmented Workflow Design

▸   Use Claude and other AI tools to prototype solution concepts, workflow designs, and process models — enabling rapid stakeholder feedback cycles.
▸   Identify and document high-value automation and AI-augmentation opportunities within existing business processes.
▸   Work with AI engineering teams to define how LLM, RAG, and agentic features interact with user journeys and business workflows.
▸   Contribute to prompt design reviews and AI output evaluation sessions — providing the business context that engineers need to tune AI behaviour.
▸   Build reusable AI-assisted BA templates: story maps, discovery frameworks, workshop canvases, and output evaluation checklists.

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

▸   Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, clients, and AI engineering teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
▸   Prepare and present business cases, solution options, and progress updates to senior stakeholders and C-suite audiences.
▸   Produce polished MOM documents, decision logs, RAID registers, and client-facing status communications — augmented with AI tooling for speed and quality.
▸   Manage stakeholder expectations proactively — surfacing risks, scope changes, and dependency blockers early.

Agile Delivery & Programme Support

▸   Own and maintain a well-groomed product backlog — writing, prioritising, and refining stories with the Tech Lead and Product Manager.
▸   Lead sprint ceremonies: planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement for AI product squads.
▸   Support UAT planning and execution — defining test scenarios, coordinating business testers, and managing feature sign-off.
▸   Track and report delivery progress, velocity, and risks across sprints and programme increments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 Experience & Education

▸   8+ years of business analysis experience on technology-led programmes, with consistent delivery in Agile environments.
▸   2+ years of active, hands-on use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Notion AI, or equivalent) in professional BA workflows — not just awareness.
▸   Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders including C-suite, programme directors, and enterprise clients.
▸   Direct involvement in at least one AI, LLM, or data-driven product delivery — requirements, UAT, or workflow design.
▸   Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent; BA certification (CBAP, CCBA, BCS Diploma) preferred.

Core BA Skills

▸   Expert-level requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation across waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery models.
▸   Strong process mapping and modelling skills: BPMN, swimlane diagrams, user journey maps, and value stream mapping.
▸   Skilled in writing precise, unambiguous user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering and QA teams can execute against without rework.
▸   Excellent facilitation skills for discovery workshops, design sprints, and sprint ceremonies.
▸   Proficiency with BA tooling: Jira, Confluence, Miro, Lucidchart, MS Visio, and equivalent platforms.

AI Tool Proficiency

▸   Claude (Anthropic): daily use for drafting, prototyping, summarising, and structuring BA artefacts and communications.
▸   ChatGPT / GPT-4o: supplementary LLM for ideation, content drafting, and quick analysis.
▸   Notion AI / Confluence AI: intelligent documentation, auto-summarisation, and knowledge management.
▸   Miro AI / FigJam: AI-assisted process and journey mapping, rapid wireframing, and workshop facilitation.
▸   Jira AI plugins or equivalent: story generation, backlog triage, and sprint reporting assistance.
▸   Comfortable evaluating AI output quality — spotting hallucinations, gaps, and areas needing human refinement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 ▸   Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated environments — familiarity with PCI-DSS, compliance, data residency, and audit requirements.
▸   Exposure to dispute management, chargeback processing, or payments operations — highly advantageous.
▸   Experience producing CPO- or CTO-facing strategic documents, business cases, or executive briefing packs using AI-assisted drafting.
▸   Familiarity with responsible AI principles: bias, explainability, data privacy, and ethical use guidelines.
▸   Experience working in a Global Delivery or offshore-onshore model with distributed teams across time zones.
