Sr. Accounting Associate (Property Accounting)
This role involves the preparation and maintenance of financial statements in conformity with theU.S. GAAPfor a property management client of Redux. The primary responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day accounting processes and reviewing the accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsof multi-property portfolio. Additionally, the position will also be responsible for coordination withthe site managersor vendors(foraccounting purposes) and preparing budgets to control costs and enhance support processes.
Responsibilities
Maintain accounting records and ledgers for client propertiesin accordance with US GAAP.
Prepare and verify financial statements and ledgers for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Handle revenue postings, inventory tracking, receivables, and payables management.
Apply and uphold internal accounting policies and control proceduresfor the properties.
Perform reconciliations of bank statements, credit card accounts, and intercompany balances.
Serve as the primary contact for internal accounting-related inquiries.
Support monthly and annual closing activities, including journal entry preparation.
Assist in audit processes by compiling and submitting necessary documentation.
Ensure adherence to financial compliance standards and support tax-related filings.
Ensure calculation and compliance of management and bookkeeping fees.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising accountants, while ensuring compliance with client policies and relevant laws.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting domain is necessary.
CA, CPA, CMA, ACCAor similar professional qualification from a recognized body within the country or abroad is bonus but not mandate.
Partially qualified candidates with expertise in the necessary domain will also be considered if found apt for the role.
Candidates should ideally showcase experience/knowledge with the U.S. GAAP (General accounting and taxation).
4-7years of progressive accounting experience, especially with property accounting (US or Canada),is preferred.
Exceptional analytical skills and detail orientation along with excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal associates and external partners.
Ability to apply advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and the capability to work with time-bound environments.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and general ledger applications. Yardi experience might be helpful but not mandate; if yes, please state in application.
