Odoo Presales Manager
We are seeking a results-driven Odoo Presales Manager to lead the presales function for Odoo ERP opportunities. The role involves requirement analysis, solution designing, product demonstrations, effort estimation, proposal preparation, and supporting the sales team in closing deals. The ideal candidate should have strong functional knowledge of Odoo modules along with techno-functional exposure to ERP implementations.
Key Responsibilities1. Presales & Solution Consulting
Engage with prospective clients to understand business processes and ERP requirements.
Conduct detailed requirement gathering sessions and gap analysis.
Map client requirements to Odoo standard modules (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, HR, CRM, etc.).
Propose optimal Odoo solutions (Community / Enterprise / Customization scope).
2. Product Demonstrations
Conduct tailored Odoo demos based on client industry and use case.
Prepare demo databases with relevant workflows.
Address functional and technical queries during presentations.
3. Proposal & Estimation
Prepare functional scope documents (FSD) and solution architecture notes.
Coordinate with technical team for effort estimation and customization scope.
Prepare commercial proposals, costing sheets, and implementation timelines.
Support RFP/RFQ responses.
4. Sales Support
Work closely with Sales team during negotiations.
Provide technical clarifications and proof of concepts (POC).
Participate in client meetings and presentations.
5. Market & Product Awareness
Stay updated with latest Odoo releases and features.
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
Understand competitor ERP offerings and position Odoo effectively.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Odoo ERP modules (CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, HR).
Experience in ERP implementation lifecycle.
Ability to prepare solution documents and effort estimations.
Strong presentation and client-facing skills.
Understanding of business processes across industries.
Basic understanding of Odoo technical architecture (Python, PostgreSQL, Odoo framework) is an advantage.
Commercial awareness and proposal structuring skills.
Experience & Qualification
4+ years of experience in ERP Presales / Odoo Consulting.
Experience in handling mid-size to enterprise ERP deals.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Commerce / Management (MBA preferred).
Experience in Odoo Enterprise projects is an added advantage.
Preferred Profile
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (Sales, Development, Functional Consultants).
Exposure to industries like Manufacturing, Retail, Trading, or Services.
