Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Django and React to join our growing engineering team. This is a full-time remote role focused on designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. The position requires deep technical proficiency, architectural thinking, and the ability to contribute to technical leadership while collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering robust software solutions, improving application performance, and driving engineering best practices across the development lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Django (Python) for backend development and React (JavaScript/TypeScript) for frontend interfaces.
2. Architect secure, efficient, and high-availability systems capable of handling large data volumes and complex workflows.
3. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to define technical requirements and implement new features.
4. Optimize application performance, scalability, and overall user experience.
5. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with modern development standards and best practices.
6. Implement automated testing strategies and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable deployments.
7. Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
8. Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to support innovation and technical excellence.

Required Qualifications

1. Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
2. Strong proficiency in Django (Python), including Django REST Framework (DRF) and ORM concepts.
3. Extensive experience with React (JavaScript/TypeScript), including hooks, component-based architecture, and state management tools such as Redux or Context API.
4. Solid understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including performance tuning and optimization.
5. Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and WebSocket-based applications.
6. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
7. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
8. Knowledge of frontend build tools and bundlers such as Webpack, Vite, or Babel.
9. Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and working within DevOps environments.
10. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
11. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within distributed teams.
12. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with modern frontend frameworks and tools such as Next.js or Tailwind CSS.
2. Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed system design.
3. Knowledge of authentication and security best practices, including OAuth and JWT.
4. Prior experience mentoring engineers or contributing to technical leadership initiatives.
