Experience
1–2 Years in a System Administrator or IT Support role
We are looking for an Entry-Level System Administrator with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in system administration and IT support. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in operating systems, server management, hardware maintenance, basic networking, and troubleshooting. This role will support day-to-day IT operations and assist in maintaining a secure, stable, and efficient IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
*Install, configure, and maintain Linux (Ubuntu), Windows, and macOS operating systems
*Perform basic server administration, including monitoring, backups, user management, and routine maintenance
*Handle hardware installation, maintenance, and replacement (desktops, laptops, servers, peripherals)
*Apply OS and application patching, updates, and security fixes
*Troubleshoot system, network, hardware, and software issues and provide timely resolution
*Support basic networking tasks such as LAN/WAN, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and connectivity troubleshooting
*Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
*Assist with system documentation, asset tracking, and IT inventories
*Work with vendors and internal teams for issue resolution and escalations
*Follow IT policies, security best practices, and compliance requirements
*Provide technical support to end users as needed
*Required Skills & Qualifications
Basic working knowledge of
*Linux (Ubuntu)
*Windows OS & Windows Servers (basic)
*macOS
*Understanding of server concepts (on-prem or cloud basics)
*Experience in hardware maintenance and troubleshooting
*Knowledge of patch management and system updates
*Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN basics)
*Familiarity with system monitoring and backup concepts
*Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
*Strong communication and documentation skills
Good to Have (Preferred Skills)
*Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP – basic level)
*Basic knowledge of security best practices (antivirus, firewall, access control)
*Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL concepts
*Basic scripting knowledge (Bash / PowerShell)
*Experience supporting remote users
Education / Certifications:
A recognised university degree in B.Tech/B.E./MCA/BCA/BSc (CS).
Certifications: CCNA and MCSE
